Sage advice, but the instructions are vague: "one or two every 4-6 hours as needed". I won't have to make this mistake again.
Take every 4 hours.  This way the pain doesn't build up

Yes I think it will take much longer.  The achilles takes ages to heal due to the blood flow taking a long time to get down to that area.
It does if you keep your ankles behind your ears.

Epic ginger legs. There is no hope. You should have told the surgeon to go ahead and sever a major artery.

Edit:  It seems that you do have something to live for. I can say nothing wrong with the house. Must be a first.  :-*

X2 one of the few getbiggers with stainless cookware :D

Hope for a speedy recovery! Now all you need is a face transplant.

pain is a good indicator of what your should not do and what is ok to do, never take pain pill, or any pill at all.

Hell, I think I might have a partial tear of something in my left knee. I landed weird after I attempted a dunk, well over 2 months ago. I felt intitial discomfort, but I walked it off. Now, my knee kills me after a 20 minute drive. Something is still wrong.

But how long can one keep your ankles that way?   :D  Ask some of the experienced homos on here.

This was a bad time to find out that I am immune to opiate-based pain meds. Even the Oxycodone has no effect. That said, 4 advils seem to be working just fine.

A knee can take 4 to 5 years to self heal. I popped/tore something and it was bulging on the backside of the knee for a year and a half, and something kept painfully slipping around in there for another 3 to 4 years. After 4 to 5 years I was perfect in my knee again. Even did an x-ray and no injury or wearing was found. I concider myself very lucky, but I never doubted it was going to heal, because it got better and better albeit slow.

If you let a doctor dig around in there with a knife your knee will never be the same again.

All-Clad is also a PITA to clean without scratching. We used to have Calphalon.

What??  Use some bar keepers friend and some copper.  Its stainless steel....

Edit - Princess L already mentioned this.  When I got my first All-Clad pan I thought I turned the burner off when in fact I had it on low.  I took a shower and came out and smelled something.  I looked and almost shit my pants when I saw how bad the pan looked.  Talked to a friend who laughed and told me to do the copper and bar keeper's friend.  10 mins of cleaning and back to new.  The only thing is the rivets where the handle attaches.  Can never get all the stuff off.
