Fellini's "8 1/2". It was semi autobiographical about his 8 and a "half" film. Prior to that film he did 6 complete films and two shorts( 1 whole), and a collaboration(1/2) so his next film 8 1/2 was his 8.5th film....according to Fellini.

I've been meaning to watch this forever.

Funny enough, the only Fellini movie I've seen is "La dolce vita"... and I only watched half of it!

La Strada is the one I like best from the limited Fellini films I've seen including La Dolce Vita. His style is very individualistic, recognizable, and iconic but he doesn't seem to have broad appeal.
