One of my favorites from Kubrick.
Definately a classic, kind of underrated too. It's not as well known as other Kubrick movies.
I've watched a lot of the movies from the "formal" film noir period like '41 to '59 and unlike late 60s and onward they had to abide by a moral censorship restriction whereby the criminals weren't able to pull it off in the end which made them predictable only in that regard. They had great stories and were masterfully crafted but you knew they weren't going to get away with the crime.
