My girlfriend was out with her Jewish friend saying they were celebrating a holiday yesterday. Can anybody confim if there was a Jewish holiday yesterday? Shabbat? (8/10/2103)

No religion here, why does everyone think that when you die you are going here or there does anyone still living know? Pretty much bullshit to me until you die you don't know.

Shabbat is the Sabbath ,Saturday. Orthodox Jews do no nothing but go to Temple after sundown Friday evening till sundown Saturday!

That's what i was thinking that it was Shabbat the holiday. She said she'll be working at the Synagon from 11AM-4PM, then she said she'll be doing over time until 7-8PM. Then she tells me she's not sure what time she's getting out, maybe around 2-3AM. Meanwhile i'm at her apartment hanging out. Now here's the interesting part, when I dropped her off at the Synagon she was wearing a button up shirt and jeans. When she came back home to the apartment she was wearing a nice green dress, full blown makeup, hair nice and definitely didnt look sweaty or tired for somebody who's been working somewhat at a Synagon from 11AM-2AM (14hrs of work lol?) when she got back home.
