If the kid had something to defend himself with and it was turned around, the kid would have been brought up on murder charges. The victim was white, no?

Not sure if nine months is correct for each individual. The ring leader of the group also is charged with robbery, he'll likely go to juvenile detention. Hopefully, the kid that got beat up has smart parents that will seek a civil attorney after the criminal prosecution and get a remedy from the hoodlums families. the school may be held accountable depending on the circumstances but will most likely be immune. School should pay though, because the attackers should have never gotten on the bus if the alleged weed dealing did take place and if these kids had any disciplinary issues at school they shouldn't be allowed to use the bus.
