24 year old punk breaks into 72 year old mans house

And didn't realize the guy was a former boxer and worked the young punk over  ;D

Gregory McCalium, 24, was left with severe facial wounds after the knife-wielding thug attempted to rob his elderly neighbor in tBotley near Oxford, England, Britain's SkyNews reported. The would-be burglar broke into the home of Frank Corti last Aug. 19 - without realizing the 72-year-old was a retired boxer.

I think it might be like that here too.  Gramps deserves a medal.  Shame on this lowlife thug who thought he could rob and harm an elderly person.

You could tell EBM had some fight experience and knew what he was doing. Those punches were pretty damn brutal, especially for a man his age.

In the UK it depends on the circumstances - it's all related to what's regarded as "reasonable force".

Lets say a burglar tries robbing your house - you beat the shit out of him, fine. Then you call the cops while he's apprehended and they'll arrest him, not you. However, if you render the burglar incapacitated and then kick him in the head for the hell of it then while waiting for the cops to arrive then you'll be arrested because that's classed as "unreasonable force".

Basically at the moment in the UK the CPS are going to be wary about prosecuting a homeowner defending their own property if it can be shown they used reasonable force because of public sentiment.

If you look at Gramp's forearm you can see a faded military tattoo. All of the guys from that generation who have these subtle tattoos will kick your ass. A few train at my gym and they will never back down from a fight. Amazing how hard some of them can punch on the heavy bag.
