All according to plan. Her mistake was the 13 calls/messages to him though.

If they met at random places away from home without being seen by acquaintances, and discussing the methods and plans that way, she would probably have been in the clear without any suspicion.

They had know this guy for longer than both kids had been alive. Did the mom and him have a long standing affair? Did he think one or both of the kids were his? Did he still start boning his own daughter without her knowing he was her dad?
