Are ripped glutes necessary?
« on: August 17, 2013, 02:20:41 AM »
In '98-'99, Prince would begin all his concerts with "I gotta get ready for the bombs/Osama Bin Laden is dropping the bombs"

But maybe it is just a silly coincidence.. judge for yourself

Interesting you bring this up. Seems like early to mid 2000s striated gluted were necessary to win a show. But it seems like the obscure muscle that's important changes every few years. We have seen the reign of:

-Xmas tree lower back.

-ham/quad seperation

-feathered quads

-glute ham tie in

-striated gluted

So what gives with all of these odd yet important fad bodybuilding necessities?  Now it seems like a detailed back is what is winning shows. Anyone else notice these?

You guys just don't get it do you?,

no one cares about the glutes when they are looking for striated glutes. When you get shredded the first thing to get in condition is your arms, then your chest and abs, then go deeper and out comes the vertical lines in your legs, then your back, then hams and the very last body part to get in condition is your glutes.

So if you have striated glutes then that simply means you have every body part shredded since glutes are the last to get in condition.

So yes shredded glutes is important but not because of the glutes being shredded but because that means your level of condition is above the field

I have seen exceptions to the rule though, ripped glutes and smooth upper bodies but I agree thats rarely the case.

If a judge needs to see whether the glutes are ripped or not in order to see if the other bodyparts are in condition or not just shows how useless judges are.

No not for me personally, I think you can pick a winner by looking at small shorts or trunks. It wouldn't matter and would be better for the sport.

But,. The schmoes like it a certain way. Next muscle group is ripped bunghole and feathered penis

The whole shredded glutes thing is pretty homosexual, same with the size of the posing trunks these days.
