Microsoft CEO to Retire
« on: August 23, 2013, 10:37:21 AM »
Microsofts CEO Steve Ballmer has set plans to retire within the next year.

Bill Gates will be serving on the Board Committee in finding the next CEO.

Could this be signaling a change in direction for the tech giant?

(To keep it bodybuilding related, does Phil Heath have a Windows Phone?)

Bomber is a genius.  Laughed and called the iphone a fad.  Laughed at the keyboard less phone.  Came out with Vista then followed it up with a whammy of Windows 8.  Came out with a 32GB Surface that actually only has 12GB of useable space.

If it wasn't for the fact that billions of PCs are still using MS software that he had nothing to do with, he would have tanked the company.

But sadly they still have the same board of directors who will resist any dramatic change.

Looks healthy as well

Ballmer did have his fair share of no good decisions. Surprising this news didn't come earlier... Microsoft easily could regain traction and market share in the mobile industry if they reworked some of their product offerings.

Or instead of regain, perhaps just gain more than 5% market share... For a tech giant that ruled (and still rules) the PC world, it's surprising they haven't made significant advances into the mobile tech (phone) world.

Hahahaha, I'm downloading this song now and putting it on a USB so I can bring it to my gym.  ;D

On a more serious note, I think The Organization may have something to do with Mr Balmer leaving Microsoft... They've been very active in trying to recruit people and Mr Ballmer seems like a very good candidate for "The Big O". After seeing this video it all makes sense!

Yeah, and as a result, Balmer's personal stock in MS is now worth a $1 billion more today then it was yesterday.   :o

"When Ballmer took the helm in January 2000, the company was worth more than $601 billion. Today, its value is less than half that amount, at nearly $270 billion."
