true. But the original had a central character who was bigger than life. I see no one here that can get the general public interested in watching. If there was just someone here charismatic enuff in bb today it could have been good. One thing, these guys act like they r doing something gangster by getting in their underwear n prancing on stage. Listen to the dialogue. They take themselves too serious. It's like Arnie saw the absurdity of it all and didnt take himself too srsly. He trained his ass off yes and was a fierce competitor but he joked about it all. He was on the side of the audience. Everyone could relate to him. He was more responsible for the bb craze more so than the virtues of bb itself.
No no you are spot on.
It can never be gangster or a real sport as in athletisicm like Phil and Branch and some other try to make it out to be. It's a ridiculous thing altogether, any sane person knows.
Come one, getting undressed and posing?
But today it's all "hardcore workouts" and angry faces on stage and in the ads and UFC like poses. Making it even more silly to the general public.
