People keep saying atheists are annoying. Really?
When I walk through the NYC subway systems, its the religious people preaching god. When I hear my doorbell ring, its sometimes Jehova witnesses trying to convert me. In fact, I was on the bus, and some lady started to preach God and hand out mini bibles. This has happened quite a few times. I have never seen an atheist hand out books on atheism.
When was the last time an atheist was rambling on about atheism in a subway or on a major street corner? When was the last time an atheist knocked on your door and tried to convert you to atheism? When was the last time you walked down the street and an atheist tried to convert you?
The only time atheists really show up is when conservatives try to mix religion and politics. That is when they make the news, and are in the spotlights
Other than that, you rarely ever see or hear atheists preaching out in the open. Sure there are podcasts and webpages dedicated to atheism (which there are probably many more for the religious), but in terms of throwing it in your face, i.e., preaching on the street or coming to your front door, leave that to the religious people
