With that said, the website just outlines the huge demand for needing and getting coverage.  It will be an improvement for everyone overall as it is slowly releasing the death grip that insurance companies have had on the public as our system is founded upon making money off of human suffering and misery and not on actual treatment.  Its not enough as far as I am concerned but it is definitely a step in the right direction.

I agree that single payer healthcare insurance would be the best solution for the majority of folks, but it is a huge departure from what those of us who have the "Cadillac" healthcare insurance plans either through our employers or because, like me, they purchase them on their own. My and my wife's insurance is a supplemental to Medicare. It covers most of what Medicare does not. Medicare is the closest thing the U.S. currently has to a single payer type of health insurance coverage.

What I've noticed when dealing with a lot of atheists is they tend to put a lot of faith in science while simultaneously being totally obviously as to its limitations and any true understanding of real science. Sounds familiar, right?

You'll usually find them attempting to regurgitate their laymans understanding of last years popscience NY Times best seller that they didn't even bother to read - but rather just googled for cliffs in an attempt to look like a pseudo intellectual e.g. The True Adonis.

it's a subconscious reflex, embedded in their brains because most of our ancestors strongly believed in God/ a perfect man/model they should all try to ressemble. So much that it got engraved  in our brains and is transmitted thru genes. It's not even conscious, it's like saying "my god" .

Some of us are simply open-minded when it comes to other's religious beliefs. I don't impose my religion of lack thereof, depending on what your perspective is, on other people and I appreciate it when they return the favor. I married to a Catholic woman in the Catholic church and I am not Catholic. Our religious differences have never been a problem for us.

Just believing in something abstract bullshit more than proven history of mankind demands that you are dumb as brick, and this is how it goes. For example, there is lots of evidence about the evolution, but Christianity is based just on written words. No one wonder who has written the book, and no one really knows anything about it, they only believe it is word of god, without any evidence. If so, why this god who make a man to be an image of himself, let us find concrete evidence that story of the creation is utterly bullshit? How come there is more evidence about the evolution, than happenings written in bible? Religious people are too dumb to wonder these things, but these things are still out there.

The question posed in the title of this thread is the type of illogical question a religious person would ask.  I assume the term 'most people' used in the question refers to theists as opposed to non-theists, or to be more precise, atheists. Atheists don't think they are smarter than most people, but they know they are smarter than Religious people.  The decline of religious belief across developed nations in the 20th century leading to more intelligent populations is indisputable !!!  There is a good reason why the majority of the worlds academics don't believe in God, their is a correlation between increased intelligence and atheism.  

Ironically, atheists possess far more humility and less pride and arrogance, as they have the ability to say 'I don't know' on a regular basis, opposed to religious zealots who attempt to answer the Universes most pressing mysteries with illogical and child like reasoning.
