For seeking congressional approval for a Syrian strike.

Yes, he deserves brownie points for making a fool out of himself.

Congress will not approve military action and he knows it.

Obama is a cowardly, incompetent buffoon.

Many politicians who "get pretty far" are incompetent cowards.

Lets recap: Obama tried to ad lib during a press conference and made a stupid threat without any intention of backing it up. Now that it appears Assad took a piss on Obama's redline--Obama vowed to act... but first Obama decided to leak the details of the attack to the LA Times. Next, he sent Kerry to give a speech urging military action. In between all of this, Britain decided not to get involved. Now, despite thumping his chest over the urgency and necessity of military action, Obama is passing the buck to Congress- knowing damn well Congress isn't going to authorize him to act.

Meanwhile, not long ago, Obama attacked Libya without Congressional authorization.

Take your tongue out of Obama's asshole and try using your brain for once.

Hope this helps.

My net worth is a negative number right now but I've been working at a big firm in one of the professions since '97 (with same one since '01), and have worked my way up the so-called ladder.
so youre supporting 2 1% families with a negative net worth?

who is extending you such credit?

For seeking congressional approval for a Syrian strike.

U.S. Military Action Against Syria ‘Going to Happen’ Even If Congress Votes Against It...

President Obama will carry out military action against Syria even if Congress votes against it, a senior State Department official tells Fox News’ Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen.

Rosen’s notes concerning the White House’s reported intentions regarding the Syrian crisis were posted on Fox News colleague Greta Van Susteren’s Gretawire site late Saturday afternoon.

Rosen reports that “the president’s decision to seek a congressional debate and vote was a surprise to most if not all of” his national security team members. The state department official who communicated with Rosen added that Obama’s move to seek congressional approval “did not supplant the president’s earlier decision to use force in Syria, only delayed its implementation.”

“That’s going to happen, anyway,” the source told Rosen, which is why Obama’s Rose Garden remarks Saturday included his belief that he possesses the authority to launch strikes even without congressional authorization, Rosen adds.

The White House Saturday sent Congress a draft of a resolution authorizing Obama to use military force against Syria and laying out the administration’s claim that Assad’s regime killed more than 1,000 last week in a chemical weapons attack.

The resolution also says the objective of a U.S. military response would be to “deter, disrupt, prevent and degrade” the regime’s ability to use chemical weapons going forward.

The resolution authorizes Obama to use the military as he determines “necessary and appropriate” to serve that goal. The draft doesn’t lay out a timeline for action but does say only a political settlement can resolve the Syrian crisis.

Obama is just looking for someone else to blame.

He's doing it just to save face. He knows he's just as bad as GWB, only a lot more cunning and dangerous than the Texan.

What kills me, literally makes me scream at the TV, is hearing him say things like he's seeking international approval from Congress and that he's going to bomb Syria whether Congress approves the move or not... and seeing all these "journalists" go out of their way to avoid asking him any compromising questions like: Why is Syria a national security issue? Why is the UN calling for further investigations and not seek military action just yet?

I doubt he's cowardly or incompetent. He got pretty far in life in case u didn't notice.

Big deal, he was hand picked and had big money backers, that's how he got in, not on merit.  Just getting a job doesn't equate to success in doing it.  How's the economy doing?  If you think he's done a good job, wait until October.  How's his foreign policy doing?  Obama is a disaster and a joke to the rest of the world.   He'll go down as the worst POTUS in history, mark my words.

Obama is elected president because spoke out against a war with Iraq ... While, Clinton is on record as voting for such war.

Obama wins Nobel peace prize.

Obama pledges troop with-drawl in sixty days ...three years later proclaims Bush exit strategy "way to go".

Largest occupation in Iraq was under Obama administration.

Obama requests his Afghan surge ... gets it ... nothing improves ... wants to bring troops back.

Bombs Libya without congressional consent ... says its national security issue ... his job and his job alone ...

With or without approval of congress or us citizens ... will bomb Syria ... after all he must save face, can't risk seeming like a pussy.

Seriously Obama ... you won the Nobel peace prize and you seem to be the war monger.  Do the right thing ... go to UN and make a case.  If we go to Syria alone, we will be paying the price for generations.  Even Brits are sitting this one out.  We had more than 40 allies going into Iraq ... for this one, we are alone.
