I also didn't like how Saul left.  Kind of lame.  But somehow Walt ties up every loose end.

Got to poison Lydia and seek revenge
Got to say goodbye to his wife in person who's home is being watched by cops
Got to say goodbye to his daughter
Got to see his son
Got to leave the info on where Hank is buried
Got to leave his wife one last playing card to get the cops off her ass
Got to have some revenge on The Schwartzs
Got to leave his family close to 10 million
Got to kill the Nazis
Got to free Jesse
Got to have Jesse seek revenge on Todd
Got to die in a lab the way it all started.

All so fucking convenient.

Come on man!

For UK viewers it sucks because It doesn't appear on UK Netflix until 9am Monday morning. So If you are working tommorow, good luck avoiding spoilers online.

The other option is to get up at about 5am to scan for a torrent. But I doubt you'll be able to download and watch it before your work day starts. I won't be seeing it until Monday night  :'(

I avoided all spoilers through some massive exercise of will ;D

I liked the episode, there was plenty of tension  :D

The MacGyver contraption was stretching it a bit- the Nazi guy could have easily smacked Walt in the head as he tried to park the car in the right position. Seeing they were going to kill him anyway.

There are many gun enthusiasts on the forum- is that sort of thing plausible?

I thought his meeting with Skyler was very sad.

She was spared a few times during the series but not this time.  Very fitting end.

I don't understand what Walt had against Lydia.

SPOILERS BELOW:

When I downloaded the last episode (the finale) from a torrent site, I saw in a comment:
"Jesse kills Walt". I was fucking furious. I mean to get a spoiler before watching the finale.
But ... it didn't happen.  ;D

They also made it a point TWICE to have Walt finally admit that he did this for himself.  When Jesse told him to say that he wanted it and when Skyler had him admit he did it for himself.
He wanted some money for his family, but $80 million???  That is a little excessive, he just couldn't stop.

Don't forget Walt coming to the compound was a suicide mission. He simply planned to hit the remote button and be blown away by the bullets same as everyone else.

He had no idea Jesse was there or he was being held captive by the rednecks. He honestly thought they were working with Jesse as partners.

It was once Jesse was brought into the room and Walt saw the shape he was in he that he wanted to save him and therefore jumped on top of him to prevent him being shot.

Not sure if anyone caught the recap but funny story about the scene with Walt leaving the watch on the payphone.  It was because when they video tapes the teaser last season of Walt creating the 52 out of bacon in the Diner he wasn't wearing the watch, it was a production error that they didn't catch so they needed him to take it off for continuity.  lol

Saw two series finales this week.

BB: great, although I would've liked more tension in the Jesse/Walt scene.  Nitpicking though.  Great series.

Dexter:  pure dreck.   Horrid finale.
Dexter ending was absolute shit! Horrible writing!

When you saw Lydia with that packet, you just knew it would be ricin going in,but how did Walt manage this,i re-watched it straight after that scene to see if he switched it,but couldn`t notice anything.
He did it before she arrived since she always sat at the same table. Her obsession for order did her in.

The thing is, such a contraption is NOTHING you'd expect.

So there would be no doubt at all, it wouldn't matter WHERE Walt would park, they'd kill him either way.

Smacking him in the head would be totally unnecessary.

Sure, they were going to kill him, but not outside, they still had a certain degree of respect for the genius, you don't smack someone like Heisenberg.

Also, smacking someone so early would give that person ideas, i'm sure they had a certain degree of curiosity and wanted to hear what he had to say first.

He put it in before Lydia even sat down....it was waiting for her.....he knew her habits after meeting her so many times.....or he made a switch when he was coughing and both she and Todd turned away in disgust

She's always there Tues @ 10 for the meeting.  Always orders the same tea and always reaches for the Stevia.  Guess she always sat at the same table too, so he arrived early and dropped in a doped packet.

yep....you beat me to it

Yeah thats what I figured too. But then I also thought, fuck, knowing just how bad Walt is when he really WANTS something done..he probably put a dash in EVERY stevia packet in the place LOL. Since each table only had 1 stevia packet :)

If there is a single lesson to be learned from Breaking Bad, that lesson is clearly to stay single and don't get married and have kids.  The stress and pressure of having to provide for a family can cause you to do stupid things you wouldn't do if you were single and only had to be concerned with yourself.
