Trypticon, the Decepticon city/battle platform/huge as T-Rex, was an awesome Transformers toy back in 1986.  In "city mode," you could connect the Stunticon and Combaticon teams to Tryps somehow, making it look more like an actual little city.

Some of the Masterpiece Transformers are pretty impressive, too, though I tend to regard those more as display pieces than actual toys.

The G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line of the 80s and 90s had some kick-ass stuff, too.  The Terror Drome, the USS Defiant and its launch complex ... lots of the vehicles were really cool, too.  I always liked the COBRA stuff but the Joe team often had bigger shit to mess with, like that one mobile battle fortress.  Can't remember its name.  (Ah:  the "Mobile Command Center."  Creative ;) .)

Glad to see you had stretch Hulk at number one mate! I would have been sorely disappointed if there was no Stretch Armstrong type toy in the lineup.

(I wanted one so badly as a kid - never got it. Santa hated me....)

Grimlock of the Dinobots from Generation 1 was the best Transformer ever.

It's hard to deny Grimlock, that's for sure.

"Me Grimlock no bozo.  Me KING!"

I'd put the original Soundwave and Megatron toys up there, too, but as I said, the Masterpiece versions are simply stunning.  If I bought a bunch of 'em I don't know that I'd even want to take them out of their packages.

Sixshot was pretty cool, too.  The Japanese TF cartoon picked up after "The Return of Optimus Prime" and did a whole different thing with the Headmasters (by which point I felt the franchise had jumped the shark, but that's a whole other yarn).  Some of it was pretty cool, even if the translated versions are utterly hilarious :D
