FMJ is playing with fire taking this bout with Canelo at this point in his career

What is everyone seeing that I am not? Canelo is good but way over rated, he is nowhere near FMJ's league.

He's a very  good boxer , hungry, undefeated ,  22 years old ,   and he's going to be 20lbs heavier than Floyd  on Saturday night .

boxing is over. stupid sport that has no place when there is mma.

Translation rather than watching 2 guys duke it out i prefer to watch men in their pants wrap their legs round each other! :o

i dont think 20 pounds weight dis advantage is going to bother FMW too much

FMW is far quicker
Canelo's boxing skill is limited

imo, cotto is a far better boxer/pressure fighter than canelo and FMW schooled cotto

he will school Canelo who has limited handspeed, footspeed, footwork, speed and defensive skills

Some people like fighting.  And real fights often involve grappling.
Boxing is not fighting.  Might as well follow fencing.  Or, if you really like striking, maybe make a sport out of ro-sham-bo:

Seriously, though, low-level boxing and low-level MMA both suck but at any given level MMA is much more dynamic than boxing.  There are many more possible outcomes in MMA.  Especially in the lower weight-classes.

comparing boxing to fencing is like comparing MMA to a typical bar fight.

As much as I think Matthyse is going to stop Danny within 8 rounds, it's a bit hard to bet against Garcia. Unfortunately, this is going to be a career altering fight for Danny either way.

We will get to see what kind of chin Danny has, as he took some shots from Kendall Holt (a powerful puncher himself) and stood his ground pretty well, but Lucas is a different animal, and keeps getting better.

I'm rooting for Matthysse just because he did it the hard way .

Oh yeah.

Did you read the article where he talked about living out in the Argentinian wilderness, and snatching up iguanas, skinning them, and cooking them over a fire after training? Pretty interesting and entertaining guy. For his sake, I wish he was more marketable, or at least spoke English, but the real fans will always appreciate the guy.

I was at the Alexander fight, and it was such a robbery it was ridiculous. Same with the Judah fight IMO.

Yes, he's gonna end the Canelo era before it begins.  He is gonna be sharp and smack that red headed maricone around.

I don't agree at all.  Judah weathered the storm early from Garcia the proceeded to bust Danny up.  Matthysse beat Judah in my opinion.

Zab had a few good rounds, and got through a barrage that he would normally falter under, but Danny was still the clear winner. Zab fought a great fight, and went beyond expectations though no doubt.

Lucas struggled with Zab and lost control of the fight on a few occasions, although, like I mentioned in my above post, I do feel that Lucas won the fight and got robbed with the decision.

There is a great gif that is out there of Zab slipping a punch and landing a huge uppercut to Lucas' chin, and Lucas just points to his chin and smiles
