I've also said this is "no win" either way for the US and any action we take is going to be more about "us' than "them" or the situation in Syria. To some extent though we are better off if we can secure the chemical weapons in that country so that they can't be used against us or our allies. After that, we're apparently fine if the two side massacre each other with machine guns, bombs and probably stick and stones
