Seems likely. Always hear of aids breakthroughs and they lead to nowhere. This one seem to be the real deal so just wanted people to be aware of it.

I remember reading news articles over the years that talk about breakthroughs " that can lead to a cure". But never a breakthrough that is a cure.

This isn't a cure. If accurate, it's a step forward, and likely an important one. But it's not a cure. The article in question is horribly written, saying things like "essentially cure about 50 percent of monkeys infected". I mean, that one statement, right there, is enough to describe the quality if the article.
