Yeah but we tend to focus on the bad times a lot more until something like this happens. Good to hear you're not out of a job...
i will be, i am in that part of the plant that's closing. I could ask to be moved to the part that's still open -but who knows for how long- being still young and "interesting" to the managing staff and having developed good ties with my direct superior, but i would have to take a pay cut and work at night, have to create and defend my place in a new team... To be honest I dont give much of a fuck at the moment, have no precise idea of what i ll do next. I'm kind of stun right now, not too stressed cause house is paid for but still we ll have to develop a new plan with the wife.
Going back to your previous post....makes me wonder what will happen in usually safe/low crime countries like canada in the coming years 
As long as you have money to stay away from the poverty/ desperate / violent people, life is
good easier wherever you are on the fucking planet.
