Hello: Just came aboard the forum.
I'd offer two lifts I witnessed to go on the list.

1. 1994 IPF Asian regional in Manila. Twenty-year old Saroni of Indonesia DLd 738 lbs at 165 lbs (75kg) to break JR and SR world records. Dan Austin surpassed that SR record a few months later, but the JR record is still on the books 12 years later.

2. Brad Gillingham's last chance DL winning the SHW gold at 2000 IPF Mens World in Japan. About six men had a chance at the gold going into the third round of DLs. All red-lighteded but Brad. He took the last DL - and the last lift of the meet - to win. I think he DLd "only" 838, but the drama of the situation was as good as it gets. 3000 people holding their breath.

1.hermann goerner deadlifting 700 pounds with one hand
2.kaz when he ripped the thomas inch dumbell off the ground and then pressed it overhead with one hand.
3.paul anderson's 1200 pound squat
4.antonio krastev snatching 475 pounds that is really crazy most people have trouble clean and jerking that weight.

George Oleson has some immpressive feats. In all, he's set more than 90 world strength records, including the following achievements:

*Horsens, Denmark-Hoisted a keg of beer weighing 62.9 kilos, or 138 pounds, from the floor to arm's length overhead 737 times in the span of six hours--in other words, an average of three times per minute for six hours! He lost 20 pounds in perspiration and almost tore all the skin off his palms, despite the fact he was wearing gloves. The next day his resting heart rate was 140-normally it's 60 to 65.

*Flensburg, Germany-Raised 18 cases of beer weighing 320 kilos, or 704 pounds, with one finger. It was the greatest one-finger deadlift in history. This feat was part of an awesome display in which George set five world records in 1 1/2 hours.

*Berlin, Germany-Lifted 602.5 kilos, or 1,325.5 pounds, in a partial deadlift; that is, the bar traveled from five centimeters below his knees to midthigh. The weight in this case consisted of 350 hardcover copies of the Guinness Book of World Records in two specially built metal boxes attached to a powerlifting bar.

*Aarhus, Denmark-Completed 38 repetitions with a pair of 125 pound dumbbells on the standing shoulder press in 1 1/2 minutes. This broke the great Bill Kazmaier's record of 35 reps. George actually completed 41 reps, but the judge ruled that three didn't count because his arms weren't fully locked out at the top.

one finger deadlift i never heard of that or seen it like goerner so i have to stay with hermann on that lift.as far as kaz doesn;t he own all the records :) i mean when someone breaks a record it always seems to be his.these aren't lifts but jb kinney, nathan holle and magnus samulson closing the #4 captains of crush 360 pounds of pressure to close with only your one hand.only 5 people have done it so that makes it a very exclusive club.how about kaz's 440 pound barbell curl that is pretty crazy.

Freaky! I used to have an issue of ''Ironman'' from the 90's with him on the cover, and more inside the mag, strong guy and very inspiring to me at the time.
