The pump is far greater than the actual gains when you have trained for x years.

Meaning that a pump makes a difference of night and day while gaining muscle doesn't mean jack, or if you are maxed out for instance..

So isn't it better to aim for constant pump everyday, rather than going for the measly 0,2 pound gains you  achieve?

I think I understand what you're getting at but is it even possible to "aim for constant pump" as a natural?

I know this has been played out but as a natural you, more or less, have two options, permabulk to look big in clothes or go on a "constant diet" to look good without clothes. Everything in between tend to be "nothing special". At least that's how I see it.

Metrosexual activities like tanning, shaving and chosing the right shirt is of utmost importance if you're going for the second option (staying in shape).

You won't have a constant pump naturally. Ever. So either get over it and stay natural and miserable or start taking steroids and actually reach your maximum potential.

Very rarely do I ever get a pump, even after my weekly push-ups, nothing. Few veins here & there, but nothing special.

haha naturla you might get somewhat ok pump once weekly after a cheat day, do that too often and you end up obese.

natural is best adviced to work on leanness, not on gains.

epic truth right there.... also good point about either be perma bulker and look good in clothes or be extreme opposite leans, you might as well give up if your inbetween, as it will look like you have infact stopped training


this only applies to natural and off gear peoples.... the look the original poster is referring to is only an illusion when very lean and shaved ( talking no hormones present that is )

Of course you can't have 100 % pump all the time.

But the question is if it's better just to eat and bulk up and do torso work in the mornings to have a moderate pump throughout the days. Instead of trying to get bigger by doing advanced regimens all the time..

Again... if I bust my balls for 10 years I might gain an unnoticable couple of pounds of lean muscle.

But if I instead maintain and see to it that I have good pumps every day, wouldn't that make a bigger difference if you want to look bigger or more fit in clothes?

If I do a hard chest and arms workout for example, the pump is present for about two days while it fades out.

If I do legs, my upperbody looks like skinny shit.

But I believe there is a long term pump lasting for many hours. Even days.
