What is the difference between global warming and climate change?
Global warming is a term that means the overall gradual average increase of earth's surface temperature over a period of time. According to the general consensus of scientific studies, it is largely attributed to the relation between surface temperature and manmade activities.
Climate change encompasses global warming within it, but, due to manmade activities, causes, and effects, also accounts for sudden, severe changes in the weather such as increased amount/strength of hurricanes, colder winters, draughts, floods, and tornados.
In short, global warming's immediate effects are not felt by the populace right away......however, the extreme weather patterns that fall under climate change categories are.
