Generation Iron - Weekend numbers and Expanding!

It made $245,000 on 55 screens for a per screen average of $4,455.

To compare

The number 2 movie of the weekend "Insidious Chapter 2" made $4,596 per screen
The number 3 movie of the weekend "The Family" made $2,265 per screen.

Another movie that debut this weekend "Battle of the Year" made $2,490 per screen.


Not bad for GI.  Wonder If they are going to try a wider release.

Not a lot of reviews in so far but 4 out of 5 top critics on Rotten Tomatoes give it a fresh rating.

They should put it on Amazon Prime and do a media blast to bodybuilding mags and websites worldwide. They'd make some nice coin there. make it 5 bucks to rent 3 days on Amazon Prime and I think they'd do very well.

saw it best scene ,was when branch warren was thrown  off his horse. guess the horse  didn't want a little toad riding it. 10 people were at the 2:30 show sat for a whopping 77.50. ::) ::) ::)

I understand that GI isn't like a second Pumping iron, since times have changed, but I like documentary like productions, just like the ones from Mike Pulcinella. I wouldn't watch if it was just another boring training or seminar installment.
