I just don't see the wow factor with Jay. Not like when you look at Phil. When you look at the comparison pic posted here when Jay was young he was so much better in his early years.

But he's a real pro and you never know for sure what he will bring come show time.
I'm rooting for him. I just hope either he or Kai beat Phil.



I've NEVER seen the wow factor in Jay. He would not have been able to hold a candle to the best the 90's had to offer and I'm referring to PEAK Jay. Even then, he would have been 2nd or 3rd tier to guys like Levrone, Coleman, Yates, Ray, Haney, Wheeler, Labrada, Cormier, Sonbaty, Taylor, Dillett. Imo, even guys like Charles Claimonte, Mike Francois, Sonny Schmidt, Dennis James, Lee Priest and others from that time were better than the best Jay ever was. He only looked good in his prime because there was no one else around him who was TOP caliber anymore. FACT.

CUTLER turned pro 96 and was moving up by 99 in show's and that's in line with some of theses pro's who were still looking there prime best,dosen't mean cutler was better but he deserved to be on stage with them.

since he is trying to keep the waist as slim as possible, Im sure he has found a way to combat it.

I doubt that he will spill over because he is deflated right now. He will inflate back up and stop when his people say so.

But...

If Jay see's his midsection start to get destended during the carb-up... he will hit the heavy laxatives and correct the problem.

Right. A little under is better than a little over.

My point was that Jay looks overly depleted.... going up in weight will not hurt him. It will just give him more muscle roundness. Plus his muscles will "jump" a little more after he fills back up

How do you figure he will go up in weight when he is on diuretics, restricting water and will take a loop diuretic at the last minute?

To gain weight he would need to be hydrating.

Anyone here see a competitor gain a lot of weight the last couple of days while he is on diuretics, increasing the dose the closer he gets, restricting water etc? If Disgusted sees this maybe he can speculate on whether he thinks Jay will actually be gaining weight from now on until stage time.

Most do gain weight as they start their diuretics on MONDAY while still depleting then by Wednesday they have most of their water gone and between WEfDNESDAY and SATURDAY they eat 15-20lb of food WHICH HALF OF THAT THEY SHIT OUT, SO THAT LEAVES A 10LB SURPLUS IN WEIGHT, while only losing by this point another 3 to 5lb of water,


so 5-7lb is possible, 15lb hell no, not happening.

OTHERS LOSE WEIGHT as they drawer their water out late while they carb load, in this case you are right, they will end up lighter not heavier, and this way requires lasix, so it really depends on the approach.

Of course, IMO, many look their absolute best the last day of depleting or after first 1-2 meals of carbs.

The 2 day show is tricky. Too long to stay very dehydrated. Will have to rehydrate after prejudging and pull water again for saturday.

ya maybe you are right, but does really depend on their method. I shouldn't say most and these are pros as well.

Over in my neck of the woods, we weigh the competitors the night before in the amateur divisions, of course they draw water out early because they are trying to make weight and the next day half of them are bragging about being 5lb heavier without drinking water.

and you are right he will be taking a loop diuretic for sure but remember the pic we saw of him a few days ago, he was already bone dry so I don't see him losing much more water weight.

As for 600-800 grams of carbs, no way, I say way more then that, at least double that, we are talking 260lb monsters here

He played his cards perfectly. Had he played the size game, Ramy would have exposed him as RAMY has everything jay has with more size, so by JAY going the shredded smaller version route he can beat RAMY on conditioning, good tactic
