Good post!

Where Ramy deserved to place is the question. Phil was first. Second and third not so clear.

Watching the prejudging these guys impressed me. Ramy, Roelly, Dexter, Shawn, Kai and Dennis. These would have been my top seven. I know the way the judging system works in the IFBB so knew they had to place Jay in the top six. Dexter had to be there, too, but he deserved to be.

As big as Dennis is he looks strange in some poses. He was wide and huge except in the calves.  Kai came in not cut enough for that size. A disappointment for what was expected.

Shawn Rhoden had a complete package top and bottom and cut. I felt after the judging the results would be the same as last year.

By time the finals arrived Dennis seemed to move up a notch. That comparison with the top three was a message to the judges that the guy in the middle was 1st. The other two are second and third.

Last week a peculiar and extremely unsporting post was made by Peter McGough stating that big Ramy was over-rated. Why was that made? Clearly Ramy was a threat and this message was preparing for his low placing. That horrible political 8th place. Thanks, Peter.

Roelly is another guy who isn't placed fairly. Here he was full and complete but managed only 7th. Damn those IFBB judges.

I didn't have to see the presentation to know the results. What a shame...again in the Olympia.

If you look at stills you can see Ramy was huge top and bottom. Pleasant shape and good lines. He is much better than 8th. Too many here rate guys mainly on condition. That should be only 25%. Size, shape and proportions are the other main factors. Using this criteria a different result would have happened. Dennis and Dexter lower because they lack calves. A fairer result could have been Phil, Shawn, Roelly, Ramy, Kai, Dexter, Dennis. Branch Warren placed too high again.

Somebody really fucked up with Ramy... He had plenty of time since the NY pro to come in CONSIDERABLY better at this show, yet came in looking worse... WTF??

I predict Jay will try another comeback only to place 10th maybe he will sit down then.

Let's hope not. He shouldn't have done this one.

hes nowhere near the top guys.he loked embarassingly soft compared to the actual dry guys there, he looked 4 weeks out compared wolf, for example.

I agree he needs to be shredded but now your exaggerating by saying "embarrassingly soft" and eighth was too low.

It don't matter if you are out of the top 6 then you might as well be 20th. He didnt bring it.

I have been humiliated and embarrassed before  :-[ , we all have. When this happens, the smartest thing to do is too admit you were wrong, which I was and hold up WW, PARKER, SYNTAX, AND A FEW OTHERS'S HAND, you guys were right, I was wrong and I stand corrected.  ;)

WHAT DID IT COST ME?  :'(

aside from looking stupid I have to pay SYNTAXM 150 DOLLARS  :P , I lost 500 dollars with 3 different bets, lol it could have been worse though, 2 off my friends I bet 500 dollars with bailed out last week cause they got called for military service in an emergency, knock on wood lol  :D

NOW tomorrow I will make my last post cause SYNTAXMACHINE also bet we have to leave getbig for a while, it is all good though cause it was fun  8)

At least you put your money where your mouth is, dude.  Stand-up guy ... I appreciate that.

I jumped on the Rami top 4 bandwagon, and what can I say?  While I didn't bet cash on it, I admit I was being short-sighted.  Does that mean I necessarily agree with 8th place?

Negative.  I think Rami should have beat Jay.  And as impressive as Roelly Wrinkleface was, I would've put Rami ahead of him, too.  Jay placed where he did thanks to what many of you call "politics."  Roelly and Rami placed as they did because the former came in better than ever; Rami, on the other hand, didn't look as good as when he beat Martinez awhile back, so the judges spanked him.  (Moreover, since he is the new Big Guy [tm], they couldn't reward him too much in his first Olympia; no modern big dude, be it Paul, Nasser, Fux, Ruehl OR Wolf were ever allowed to bust into the top six so quickly.)

I also think Rami has more potential than most of the other up-and-comers like Cedric, Curry and a couple of others.  Only that Lionel guy might go further, faster if he learns how to get really lean and dry.  But I still see Rami doing very well if he does what needs to be done.
