Lebrons not a clutch shooter....LOLOLOL

Dude I watched Jordan play too... he's the greatest....BUT...if Lebron keeps doing what He's doing.. he won't be the greatest for long.

People remember "their" guy and "their" era fondly... and don't like it fucked with. Me.. I'm objective.

Did you not watch the 2 finals where Lebron stunk up the joint, getting shut down by an 87yr old Jason Kidd?where he scored 8 points in an nba finals game?where he needed a hero 3 from ray Allen to take it to a game 7, of which Jordan never needed a game 7 in the finals?Where he had to bail on his team and form a super team elsewhere to win?Where he gets the best free agent ring chasers to join his team?

You need the ability to put wins in ro context to be able to compare Jordan and Lebron, and there really is no comparison, I can't find a playoff series where Jordan got outplayed by another player, I can find you loads where Lebron got outplayed.

Another one who seems to think Jordan never missed a shot in his life.

Like I said earlier while Lebron was having a bad series in the finals...Jordan was sitting home

Without MJ, the Bulls almost made it back to the Finals.

Without LBJ, Cavs went from Finals to 1st lottery pick pretty quick.

I worshipped MJ and still say he's one of the greats.  Lebron went to same high school as me, but I've always seen him as entitled and pampered.  But there is ZERO way MJ would be able to defend Lebron, and yeah, Lebron would shut down MJ on defense (or, well, the ref would just give Mike the whistle and let him throw himself into lebron).

Nutrition, GH, training, call it whatever progress reason you want.  Lebron is just better.  He's bigger, stronger, probably faster and at the SAME AGE, Lebron beats him.   We'll see how many rings and MVPs Lebron has by the time he's 35 or 37.

You have a very simplified view of the game, Lebrons team fell apart as they were constructed to function as a product of Lebron being a ball dominant player, much like Jordan's teams of 84-89 would have dropped off massively without him, from 90 onwards when his team got better he played more off the ball.

Michael would have LeBron beaten before the game even started.
LeBron would end up lying on the court in the fetal position by the time the game was over and it would have nothing to do with who's better physically.
Please give me a fucking break!

True...But in basketball, the teams who get the lottery pick usually tank their seasons on purpose unfortunately...

Ha ha...what a load of crap  :D

Seems you arnt much of a basketball fan, just a snippet, this was his most ball dominant stage but earlier in his career he had the ball far more on the shot clock, just goes to show had he been put in Lebrons role of facilitator for his entire career the kind of insane stats he would have put up, the team would have been built round him just like Lebron, with mainly 3 point specialists to pass out of the double team and defensive specialists, just like Cleveland, and just like Cleveland, had he left the Bulls the win column would have collapsed due to a gaping hole in the way the team was built.....

"

With all the talk about LeBron James‘ current run of five straight games of 30 points at the 70% clip and how it may be the best stretch of games in NBA history – some may have forgotten Michael Jordan‘s insane run of triple-doubles during the 1988-89 season.

In an experimental move by head coach Doug Collins, the Bulls moved Jordan to point guard for part of the season and as only Jordan can, he responded with 10 triples doubles in 11 games.  (edit: okay, maybe Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird could have , if they were so challenged).

In that eleven game run, Jordan averaged 33.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 11.4 assists. Mr. Jordan would finish that season with a total of 15 triple-doubles, three short of Magic Johnson’s record of 18 in one season. As amazing as Jordan’s stretch was, there was one glaring problem – the Chicago Bulls were just 5-6 in that span. In comparison, LeBron’s five games have all resulted in wins – let’s see if LeBron can keep up his pace."

Bulls without Jordan won I think 55 games in 1994.  They added Toni Kukoc who was pretty good though.

How many would the Heat win without LeBron?  I don't think they'd win 55 but maybe 50.

Would be a good matchup, too bad Jordan is 50 and not 30.

True story: Wilt is the reason you have to stand still while shooting free throws.  He was bad at them so for a while he would just take off running and dunk them from the free throw line.

Truth is Wilt was a freak athlete way before Lebron or anyone else! He had sprinter speed along with size and strength! My uncle went to Overbrook High with Wilt in Philly!

that's true. wilt tried out for the nfl as a lark, he  outran the fastest guy on the team  while wearing sandals and bermuda shorts. no one could stop him from catching passes. QB couldn't throw over him when he was on defense.  was blocking field goal attempts standing by goalline. only problem is he only wanted to play QB that was a deal breaker.

Yes Wilt would beat MJ and LeBron 2-on-1 then impregnate both their wives 2-on-1.

Here is Wilt against Ayatollah Khomeini, he was old and past his prime here.

they were taller lankier longer skinnier at the time. And playing against people just like them. Nutrition, drugs, training were a joke compared to what they are nowadays. Fact is lebron has a scary combo of speed, weight , strenght , and shooting skill. It's pointless to compare him to people form another era anyway. Fact is nowadays in this era, he shits on everyone else, and kobe is lucky he didnt have to face him more often. At the moment i d say that for various reasons lebron has a fucking highway to success in front of him cause there s no real oposition (bryant getting old and tired as fuck, durant being mostly a shooter, howard being an injury prone immature underachiever) and cause his team is stacked beyond belief. He also gained lots of confidence. The real mastermind behind all of this is pat riely tho, make no mistake.

kevin durant vs wilt chamberlain. durant could barely bench press the bar out of college, wilt could do over 500 lbs. no contest durant would be laying on the court in the fetal position if he had to face wilt. he made ah-nuld feel like a beta.

Wilt could dunk over anyone without breaking a sweat. lebron has to put all his energy in motion when he brings it to the rim. Wilt would dominate over Lebron...

Lebron has two chips and 4 finals appearances at the same age Jordan had one chip.

People like to argue "Lebron went to the finals and couldn't close"...at the same point in his career, Jordan was getting bounced out in the second round  ;)

Jordan also went to college for three years and barely played his second season in the nba.  Comparing their age is misleading.

Besides it was two different eras.  Personally, I thought the level of competition was much higher in Jordan's day but whatever

I was in 7th or 8th grade watching Jordan murder my beloved Cavs every single night during the playoffs, although we did take it to 7 games when I was in 8th grade.  My dad says it was fixed for drama and so they'd all get another game paycheck :)

I believe if Jordan was playing today, he woudln't get the calls he got then.

He would get winged or dinged of any kind of contact, and he'd be on the line.  I'd love to see how many PPG he got from the stripe.  Yes, he was awesome and amazing, and yes, lebron is an underachieving entitled idiot... but LeBron doesn't get those calls when he gets mugged.  nobody does anymore.  Call it the youtube result, the donaghey effect, whatever.  They call shit more consistently now.  Mega stars don't get all those calls like they used to.
mark price one of my favorite players ever bro a very underrated point guard

In a game of one on one Jordans vastly superior ballhandling skills "no homo" would be a major factor.

This post proves nothing.

If you can't tell the difference between a player that changed his game from being a slasher with higher time on the ball, to a post up player and how posting up requires you to move off the ball and establish a post position to receive the ball, thus not being the primary ball handler on setting up the offense, ala Scottie at point forward, and how this effects the amount of time you handle the ball, then you need to go read a basketball 101 book.
