Nice article?  It's just an opinion piece written by some hack, quoting other hacks.

Who's to blame?

If you're asking who is to blame for the current situation, it's obviously the president, by his own admission.  From 2006:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

The buck stops with the Hypocrite in Chief.  It is a sign of leadership failure.  Americans deserve better.

LOLOOLO. A quote from 2006 to lay blame in 2013, when he wasn't even president. This issue is the GOP's doing, solely, it's a fact, they planned it and Bachmann put it out there "this is what they wanted, it's the happiest they have been".

your quote does nothing but show he is a politician, it in no way teases apart this complex situation. Apparently you hold people responsible for things regardless of their sway. Congress wouldn't fund the government, Obama can not stop that, hence the shutdown against his wishes.

Yes, a quote from Obama about the failure of leadership and his refusal to support increasing the debt limit shows what a supreme hypocrite he is.  There are numerous examples of him talking out of both sides of his mouth.  The man is dishonest and incompetent.

And the quote from Bachmann was about stopping Obamacare.  That's what they wanted.  That's why they are happy.

Overall, I'm glad they're doing this.  The government needs to live within its means.  We have to stop spending money we don't have.  And we should not be trying to copy socialist countries like yours when it comes to healthcare, or anything else for that matter.

LMAO...

The fucking deficit is falling fast and national debt isn't nearly as big an issue currently. So you want it to go down even faster? you realize it is receding at the highest pace ever?

So your contention, if I am getting your inferences, is that while the deficit is falling at the fastest rate in history you want it to go even faster? even if it means harming the economy to "get the government to live within it's means'? sound fucking logic broham.

Your country ranks piss poor in "freedom", inequality etc.. you are approaching economic catastrophe over stopping a law and not paying your bills, and you need not take advice? typical fucking arrogance, no less from an uneducated fella such as yourself. Evolution, not true, global warming, not true, creationism correct. You live your life ignoring facts and others, your not needing advice from me or the world highlights this.

Now, from his own mouth, not months ago, stating the complete opposite of his current position.  Not that it fucking matters in this debate, but since you thought a 2006 partisan stance by Obama provides evidence for your position now, it will stand.

So now we have two hypocrites battling each other with the fate of the world in their hands.

What you talkin bout Willis??  Our national debt is rising.  And we have a budget deficit.  We are spending more than we take in.  That’s a problem.

And your comments about freedom, equality, etc. are laugh out loud funny.  We are the greatest nation in the history of the planet.  That’s why people from around the world are clamoring to move to our country.  That’s why so many Canadians migrate to the U.S.  We offer a level of opportunity and freedom that no other country can match, on the scale in which we offer it.

Obama Admin Will Allow Amnesty Rally on National Mall During Gov't Shutdown
by Tony Lee 7 Oct 2013 2751 post a comment
The Obama administration will allow a massive rally for comprehensive immigration reform on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. on the National Mall, even though it is supposed to

Open-air spaces like the World War II Memorial have been barricaded since the federal government shut down last week, but an organizer for the rally told the Washington Examiner that the National Park Service will allow the rally and march.

As Breitbart News reported, immigration activists have called for volunteers to get themselves arrested at the rally in acts of civil disobedience.

The event will be a culmination of rallies across the country over the weekend in which immigration activists demonstrated in 41 states demanding amnesty.

A variety of immigration activist organizations, along with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO, are organizing the event, which they claim will attract 10,000 people.

Lawmakers in Congress like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) are expected to be at the event. Members of the House are trying to pass immigration reform bills that will allow them to go to conference with the Senate, which passed its comprehensive immigration bill in June that provided a pathway to citizenship for all of the country's illegal immigrants.

You do know the US is the country in the world with the highest number of inmates right?

I didn't say anything you are implying I did, as usual you just skirt the issue and ramble on. The deficit is decreasing at a record pace, fact. The debt is rising, but for many economic reasons this is not nearly as important.

Obviously theres a deficit otherwise, it's record setting descent is illogical.

How are you a lawyer?

Let's have a serious discussion, what would Obama need to negotiate? outline the things he needs to negotiate listing both sides proposals. As I see it Obama is asking for basic functioning of the government while the GOP are fighting a losing battle demanding things such as alterations to an already enacted law through non-legislative means.

It's not logical.

They hold the power to defund based on the Constitution. Further Obama unilaterally delayed parts of the law...a law you said in the previous post was past and enacted...so based on the Constitution and precendent set by your savior..the disgrace in the White House, they can do it. And based on the fact they are a legislative body with again, the Constitutionally mandated power of the purse, they are doing it with legislative means.
