well... i think gross vs. net (what they report on taxes) is a good question as well..
i know damn well they don't report cash made from signing $10 8x10's at appearances.
guest posing cash comes from the promoter/sponsors (john Lindsey, Jim Manion, Weinberger, ect...) or from the NPC? isn't the NPC a 501c3? guest posing's are between $500-2500 depending on the bber... how much do they get in cash?
Personal training cash payments, ect...
how are winnings taxed? ordinary income? are they 1099's?
an audit could be tricky business if a guy claims a $60k/year sponsorship income ($5k/month), yet has assets (home, cars, watches, ect...) that exceed his/her means.
drugs aren't that expensive, even gh at the doses these guys use these days... you can do it for around $500-900/month, so that's 6-10$k/year gone... rent/mortgage, car payments/leases.
i can see a pro bringing in $5k/month in sponsorship, $2000/month guest posing's, $1500/month avg (with the big expo's each year) selling photo's and videos.
so that's $8.5k/month without counting contest winnings.... and not counting "supplement" sales if they do that on the side, or 'private-posings', or private-training dollars (easily $1k/month just training a few people here and there b/c ppl like to get trained by a 'pro').
