it hurts in the anus. Also, a meth addiction is no laughing matter. Neither is stealing from your mom,

Youre right, it is no laughing matter. Must suck for him to have hit rock bottom.

Are you allowed to have outside money sent to you in prison? And do prisoners deal with cash in prison or Debit type cards?

you have money sent in and put on your "books", sorta like a bank account. actually, there's two accounts... a "spend" account and a "frozen" account. there's a monthly limit though, which varies state to state. for instance if your $135 in 28/30 days.. so if you have $235 sent in over that period, 135 (which is also the Max you can have in your spend).. the other 100 will get put into your frozen, but the prison will take a percentage of it first, so you'll get something like $50 in your frozen (for when you're released... now, you can sometimes use the Frozen account to buy things like TV's and typewriters and guitars, ect... but you need approval from the Unit Manager.. the guy/girl who manages your "block/unit").

now, you use that money to buy shit on commissary... food, pens and paper, shampoo, razors, ect... you can also get coins like a max of $18/wk in quarter and dime tokens to use in soda machines and buy ice cream treats at lunch......... OR you can use those quarters to gamble with and pay debt.

in county jail, I dunno if there's a limit on how much money you can have on your books... like if you come inand get arrested with $3k in your pockets, that same $3k is yours when you're released... now if you go to prison, you'll keep 135, and 1500 (or so, minus the 135) will go into your frozen, and the prison will keep the other 1500.

for example... you go to prison... you have your books full at 135... you can spend a max of $30/wk... you get 18$ in coins, the rest you buy peanut butter (for yourself.. 3500kcals in a jar), then you buy 50-100 ramens, 5 boxes of little Debbie snacks, ect..

now you're in business.... you "store out".. i.e. LOAN your ramens out each week... 2 ramens for 3 back, 3 for 5, 5 for 8, 10 for 15, ect..... and your little Debbie snacks you store out 1 box, to be replaced with a box the next week PLUS $.50 coins (per week).... or you loan out the coins...

essentialy you're a loan shark... charging 50% interest weekly..... that's how you survive in prison.. now, if a guy can't pay... (a $5 loan that turns into $50) is the best thing... because you can sell the debt for $30 to a guy who'll beat the guy up (if you start beating guys up, you're going to the hole and losing your income). now $5 turns into $30... and you do that week after week with multiple guys... and so long as youre fare and respectfull and don't let anybody rip you off, nobody is gonna tell on you.

CI's name don't all the time show up in paperwork...maybe the prosecuting attorney's paper work. Depending on the state, the statement of facts will just have listed "CI"...

yes they do... if that CI's statement/testimony is what helped convict you. Now, if there's just "a CI told us that ESFITNESS was selling coke out of his residence... the CI stated he had never purchased coke from the defendant, but was aware be was selling, ect...", then the name won't be listed.

if a CI tells on you, his name is in YOUR paperwork... and when you go to prison, you keep that paperwork with you (they can't seize or even read your legal paperwork)... now you have PROOF and so and so is a rat.

How to hell do you keep other inmates from stealing your tv or little debbies?   You can't be in your cell 24/7 watching them

it's respect, and common sense.

if you're a big dude (remember, most guys in prison are total fucking losers... tweakers and drunks, junkies... beta's for sure... and skinny as fuck), and you have a 'respectable' crime (armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, ag assualt, ect... not a burglary,  felony DUI, or possession of controlled substance, or a child molestor, ect..) and you have a decent sentence (more than just a few years), and people BELIEVE you WILL hurt the guy who steals anything from you, or at the very least you have the means to PAY for the guy to get hurt..... nobody is gonna steal from you.

prison is cut-throat. if somebody steals your TV, chances are that person has an enemy, and that enemy will let you know (with pleasure) WHO stole your TV so YOU can go take the dude out..... word gets around. nothing is ever a secret.

plus, all it takes is you making an example out of a couple people who disrespect you to make everybody else, no matter how big and tough they are think twice about fucking with you.

plus, many prisons dont' even have cells anymore... you're in "barracks"... big huge (and HOT) tin barns with bunks stacked 3 high with lockers at the end... with 300 people per unit. if somebody steals something from you, somebody is gonna see it.... and so long as you treat people fairly and never rip people off and 'help them out/cut them deals', they'll be loyal to you... and you'll hear about it.

plus if you're the 'go to guy' for stuff (food, money, loans, ect...) and you have easy access to money "on the street", people are gonna want to keep you around.... since getting rid of you would be like getting rid of Walmart. people would be forced to deal with other guys who'd be less "forgiving" than you.

wrong... there are gangsters IN jail, but they hold affiliation to their 'street/block/crew'... they are not organized.

WRONG...in the jails in SoCal 99% of SoCal Mexicans bang SURENO. Local hood beef is put aside; beef is forbidden, taxable and punished unless authorized by a shot caller. Even SoCal mexicans from traditionally black neighborhoods have the right of joining SUR. All Mexican street gangs in SoCal rep 13 / SUR. All major Mexican street gangs pay taxes on the streets to the area shot caller from eme.

Sureno is as organized as it gets.

Dude, you're so wrong. LA county jails have organized gangs. Most every major county jail in the state - especially on the southern side - have organized gangs.

agreed. in order to control the drug trade within AND outside the prison, organization is required ei paying guards mules ect.

when u get into powerful bikers and mafiosos or other gangsters in prison, they can make serious things happen on the outside rather easily. to say they aren't organized is rather stupid.
