No rent
no way to be tracked down
can live wherever I want
less expenses

I'm seeing a lot of up sides

I bought a GMC work van with no windows that I am converting when I have time. There are like 2500 Anytime Fitness in North America with private showers and bathrooms. A van doesn't draw the attention of an RV and can be equipped the same amenities. Many videos on youtube...solar power, insulation, hot water, etc.

Hey, why not? I rent a nice apartment and also think I might one day live in, well, not a van, but perhaps a RV or trailer of some sort. For me, buying a house is the LAST thing I wanna do. Folks think they own them. Unless you bought the thing hands-down, you DO NOT own the place. And the property taxes and constant repair/maintenance headaches aren't much worth it, either.

"Oh, yeah. I am building my retirement." Oh, brother. ::)

Get fucked. If men didn't marry, buy dumb houses big enough for offspring and a hot tub in the backyard and stayed away from idiotic vices like drugs and booze, most would have more than enough for "retirement". And that's if you make it to such an age. Fact is, us Getbiggers are high test dudes who will most likely crash to the floor in writhing pain from a heart attack sooner rather than later.

And no one will give two shits. So jam your tunes, lift some poundage and bang some broads.

No windows? That's called the Basile special...

This kid did it all through DUKE university grad school...But he did it with the hopes of getting a masters degree and eventually making enough money to live in a nice home...

Don't know what your motives are but it's a cheap way to live.

Good luck ever getting laid lol.

if you buy an appartment there is no rent and it's an investment that will increase value

a van loses value and is worth nothing after it's some yrs old

It would be better to live at your moms house than to live in a van and when you have enough money you move out.

Have also given this some thought and if ever single again is the route id go.
Portable camping toilet so dont have to shit in bucket.
Split charge relay with a few extra heavy duty batterys to power telly ect.

No taxis home after nights out. No rent. No council tax. Sea views or country life dependant on what you feel like that day.
Great life

Your van will still smell like a shitter. Especially when something inside has died.

You will end up looking for a public restroom.

Living in the woods to save money
« Reply #42 on: October 11, 2013, 12:50:40 PM »
I am thinking about living in a tent in the woods to save money, its much better than living in a van you can take a dump or a piss in the middle of the night by a tree, and take a shower in the river and you can go jogging and do pull ups on a tree and you can also hunt food to save on the supermarket, so forget about a van the woods is the place to be.

Track down? What kind of illegal activities are you into there.

Make sure you buy enough condoms just in case an animal wants to have sex in the woods.
