Bronze Plan for 240 a year....Silver 1243 a year.  However due to income and service record, each of the plans would be subsidized so I wouldn't pay anything.

Thanks, Vince

So a big selling point for the liberal left is this entitlement of subsidized health insurance policies paid for by the taxes of the working is a great thing. How is the government going to pay for that perk nation wide when this country is broke? Another thing is how is the Federal government deciding which health care companies can participate in the health care exchanges? Do you think that wreaks of corruption?

The left liberal rabid supporters of Obama just makes me sick in thinking can this generation be that stupid?

Basile will not be happy with this.

Basile isn't an American citizen. He doesn't qualify. I believe healthcare is socialized in Australia. Socialize healthcare is likely less expensive then the Affordable Healthcare Act concepts are at this point since it isn't actually socialized healthcare, just a step in that direction.

What I find humorous is that there are a lot of folks who are complaining about Obamacare who are on public assistance. In Oregon, they likely qualify for the Oregon Plan which is free to those who qualify and yet they don't get that Obamacare is just a Federal version of this.

Talk about stupid, have you considered that the big health insurers may not want to participate? Before I retired, my two-party healthcare insurance cost my employer over a $1,000 a month and that was in 2009. Healthcare insurance costs have increased since then. They may not want to give up the "gravy train" they've exclusively enjoyed up until now. This also explains why the healthcare insurance industry has spent millions of dollars to fight Obamacare, money they get from us schmucks paying high premiums for crappy coverage.

This is a hoax by the time you get logged in and choose a plan the sign up date will be over, then you have to pay a penalty just more money for the government. ;)

Do you qualify for Obamacare? If so, have you made an effort to sign up for it. You have until March 31, 2014 to sign up and avoid the penalty. I cannot imagine that it would take the most ignorant individual that long to navigate the signup and you are hardly ignorant are you?

$240 a year for healthcare?

That ain't gonna be quality healthcare - all those 'socialist' countries have citizens contributing waaaaaaay more than that to the system.

Why on earth anyone would try to go through that site without an agent or broker is beyond me.  It doesn't cost a dime extra. There are 140 plans on the marketplace, and a broker can help you slice through that in minutes.

Because Oregon has the Oregon Health Plan which is essentially Obamacare, only we had it before Obamacare. one is redirected to this site to make application. Apparently, it all depends on which state you live in and what is in place in that state. I don't qualify for the Oregon Health Plan because I am not poor enough and I already am on Medicare. There was no need to pursue it any further. People on the Oregon Health Plan have pretty good coverage.
