is done in MMA

he has burned too many damn bridges

Now Palhares' ex-coach Murilo Bustamante of the Brazilian Top Team is speaking out about Palhares and it ain't good, via Fighters Only:

"I can say this - nobody ever defended him as much as I did every time he made a mistake like this. In the beginning I thought it was because he was naive, or had too much nervous energy during the fights.

"But then he caused a lot of incidents inside my academy during his camps and I changed my mind. I got tired of seeing how he hurts people so often when he is sparring, especially when he has a fight coming up. We used to argue every time it happened, so we argued a LOT.

"That was a reason - together with his nonsense excuses every time he lost a fight - that our relationship started to get bitter. I actually hired a psychologist to help me with him but, as we have seen, it didn't work."

Now with Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney saying they WON'T sign Palhares, it's hard to see where the troubled submission specialist goes from here.

Some people are just arseholes.  It was good to see the little fuck get KO'ed by LOMBARD.  And I would bet my bottom dollar he is abusing PED's yet somehow getting away with it.  Fuck that little CUN+ !  Idiots Like Palhares confuse the real lesson inherent in martial arts, it's not about becoming a dominant force, but developing a balanced attitude, one that the majority will respect and want to emulate.

He has one of my favorite styles of grappling... that aggressive go get it with disregard for positioning.  Like catch wrestlers. None of that stall you out or lay in my guard kinda bs common in bjj.

Too bad he's dumb as bricks.

He hurts his own gym members. If he gets subbed, he wants you to respect his tap and let him go... if he subs you, he wants to break and tear your limbs after you have tapped

Alan wants to break his limbs
Belcher already smashed his face in.  Palhares being the one trick pony he is, obsessively went for the heel hook and Alan survived it, and Palhares being such a short arse was easy picking to be ground and pounded hard from inside his guard.  I just watched the bout again for the satisfaction of watching the little punk Palhares get smashed !!!

Honestly, I think he's slow or mental. He's one of those people who have tunnel vision to an extreme. He doesn't notice the ref. He just wants to get the sub, hold on to the sub and never let you escape.

True story: Dude grew up dirt dirt poor on the countryside of brazil. He worked on a farm since he was a kid... would go hungry and so he had to eat animal feed.

That about sums it up, if you are doing this to your own team members, you are essentially a sociopath, or at the very least an insecure douchebag  !!!

yeah fuck this dude.... no respect for his opponent.... my old gym had a big banner on the wall saying something to the effect of "everyone is here to learn, if you have an attitude and think youre tough shit, strap on some glove, step in the cage and one of the instructors will happily bring you back to reality"

My friend met him a couple of years ago. Said he was like a puppy - very childlike and innocent and very very friendly. I don't know if it's malicious behaviour or if he just swtiches off.

Either way, he was exciting to watch. Shame he had to be such a mong about it.

He comes from very very humble beginnings.

Either something in his childhood / upbringing made him what he is, or he was just mentally wired differently from the start.

I think many of us coming from his background would have become "different" though
