I had a dream about killing a chicken. Not in a mean way or anything. I was raising them and they had good lives but this one was going to be for dinner and I was going to use every part so I didn't feel terribly bad about it. I felt a sense of gratitude toward him, but still some regret. What bothered me most is I didn't have a plan for the bare bones after boiling them for stock.

Is there a use for chicken bones?

You can eat the marrow, high iron content...and then crush the bones in a blender and drink it in a shake. Nice source of calcium

We were outside in the sun and I showed the chicken to my dog. He was jealous initially because I was holding the chicken and he kind of squinted at it disapprovingly, but he came forward and had a sniff and then he seemed to understand its fate and he was ok with it. Even the chicken was ok with it. We'd all come to some tacit accord where we all knew my dog was going to die and I was going to die too but there was no enmity or conflict to resolve so it was ok.

These are all good ideas but I have decided to reassemble the chicken.

I've eaten 8 in a sitting. Probably drank 20 or more whites back in my 'blending days.'
