Any dates or speculation on which weekend the Olympia will be in October 2006?

Every BB promoter in Europe thats who. Last year was an absolute fiasco. By the time they had arranged a date it was so damn late in the year all the decent venues for a european grand prix tour had gone, ergo no tour.

That was absolute shite, and I have yet to hear a decent explanation as to why it happened. Kerry Kayes (promotes English Grand Prix) was well pissed and so were a lot of the BB's and fans.

Lets hope they can get their arse in gear this year.

Any news on a european tour this year. I missed it last year. Us Brits dont often get the chance to see the best in our backyard.

Hey all,
I was just wondering...if I remember correctly...didn't different cities host the Olympia from year to year? Does anyone know if the higher ups are considering going back to that in the future...and also, I see Shawn posted the dates above....is that going to be at the Orleans again? Was just curious...at any rate...I just hope the show runs a little smoother this time.

Yeah they used to move the Olympia around to different cities, like the Super Bowl. But then they realized that most people don't care (since it's basically the same 5000 people in attendance year after year.)

I do think Shawn should have won the 96 O, even though Dorian carried 55 lbs of lean mass more than him. His physique, at that show, epitomized, to me, what bodybuilding is all about.

At this year's Olympia, David Pecker announced that the '06 show would be back at the Orleans Arena. If they've reconsidered, that's great news. Hopefully, they will choose a venue with the hotel, show, and expo all in one spot....maybe the Mandalay Bay?

Do any of you know why the show was moved from Mandalay Bay the the Orleans in the first place? I've been to Mandalay Bay and it seems like a really nice place. I have yet to hear anything good about the Orleans.
