I was at the store browsing the magazines and I saw this guy that looked to be in his late 40s pic up a Flex magazine. This guy was wearing a dirty gray t-shirt with a beer gut hanging out. haha. He had decent forearms and that's about it. So I kinda leaned a little bit to see what article he was looking at and he got this self-conscisous look on his face and put it back on the rack. hahaha. He must have been thinking - golly, I wonder if this magazine will reveal the secrets I need to get big like the pros. hahahahahahahahahahahaha haha!

What does picking up Flex magazine have to do with bettering oneself? If this poor guy follows what the magazine preaches, he'll be worse off. He'll blow his money on a whole slew of overpriced useless supplements and the training programs "by the champs" that he reads about will destroy him if he tries to emulate them. So he'd be better off not being exposed to the lies inside the magazine. BIG GUNS in 5 WEEKS!!! ha ha ha

That would be convincing--if it were true. Alas, FLEX is not about self improvement or even getting into shape. It is eye candy for people who want to see big muscle freaks: bodybuilding fans, wannabes, gays, the closet bi curious, etc.

There are plenty of real magazines and books that have real training and diet articles for getting into shape: Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, etc. I can’t pretend to know what the out of shape guy was thinking as he thumbed through the magazine but I seriously doubt he was thinking about “bettering himself.” $:-\$
