Fair enough. As one gentleman to another, we'll have to respectfully disagree
My curiosity is piqued now, though. Have you seen "Deadwood," "Mad Men" and/or "The Wire"? How about "A Game of Thrones"? I've not seen much Mad Men -- trite as it will sound, I'm seriously put off by the fact that the cast is forced to "smoke" fake cigarettes given some stupid California law ... most, if not all of the actors and actresses who smoke on that show do so in real life, so what's the problem? -- and I missed "The Wire" altogether, although I hear it is simply excellent.
Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed "Deadwood." It's rife with richly-drawn characters and some amazing acting and particularly noteworthy dialogue; e.g., Al Swearengen's advice to squeamish character A.W. Merrick, the town's newspaperman.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
And insofar as AGOT is concerned, the production value alone is worth a view or two. I also love it, particularly because there are no Sacred Cows ... people you want to see succeed or avenge themselves die in the most pathetic way. Eliot's words about the world ending not with a bang, but a whimper are salient, for every occasion but also in viewing AGOT.
All that blah blah blahing aside, I hope you are well Sev. Getbig is not the same without you.
When I see how movies and TV shows are made so that they hook you emotionally into the characters and you identify with them then those characters do things that are not ok or positive so you "do it mentally" with them, but it's not real so it's ok, but this stuff happens in real life so it must be ok.
Let me tell you folks:
It is NOT ok to think about killing, raping, shooting another, about cheating, about being mean or abusive etc.
Young generations see women as whores, bitches and can relate to them only through their animal self in a sexual agressive manner. Then we wonder why there are so many disfunctional relationships. Joe Blow is a good sad/satirical example.
Kids and teenagers are loud, mean and obnoxious. They grew up with Kill the whore GTA5 and countless shooting games, porn and hip hop. So when they meet a girl they expect her to take it in the ass and blow cum bubbles at the end. If she does not "suck cock" she has issues. So the girls learn that they are sexual objects and their whole self worth is based on sexual attraction. They learn to "please their man" from a very early age.
Most of the society drinks and does drugs, is addicted to carbs and garbage food.
You have pedofilia creeping in the public view from where it was hidden all these thousands of years via imprinting.
All TV shows, all movies show me violence and sexual crude stuff, vile language and so on. There is NOTHING of value or spiritual in what we are bombarded with.
The mind controlled society is right here full blown and not only you are complacent, but you ASK for it. Whenever someone like me or other few pop up and point out all these things, people start ridiculing, becoming agressive and generally yapping about conspiracy theories.
If you'd know what trully goes on in this world behind the incredibly complex crafted illusion you call "reality", you would literally go insane.
