 Most people interactions with police are just like yours or even more mundane.  

There are alot of paranoid delusions about cops. Alot of psuedo-lawyers who think they know the law, but in reality they don't know shit, which only feeds the paranoia about "police brutality" "police state" etc etc. The truth is cops are just municipal employees, city employees. Now in particular where everyone is a "special little snowflake" and NOBODY takes responsibilty for their actions it is very popular to question and criticize police. Media loves to feed on this paranoia too.

Because police aren't necessarily in the business of cutting breaks they always come off as dicks, even when professionaly doing their job. Even when the majority of peoples interactions with cops is when they are pulled over for something they actually did wrong and still get a break. So people personalize it nobody ever says "I was late to work today and flying down the freeway and I was pulled over".... fuck no, its more like "I was late for work today because this dickhead cop pulled me over." Its never "I was pulled over for speeding" it's always "I was pulled over because I'm black" or "I'm hispanic in a white neighborhood" or "I drive an expensive car" or whatever makes you a special little snowflake.

Where did I say I was a special fragile little snowflake that was totally innocent and was wrongfully persecuted by the big nasty policeman?  You missed the whole fucking point.  Police were originally officers of the peace and their slogan that they adhered to was "to protect and serve".  Where the fuck are you getting cops that protect and serve you?  I need to move there.  The pigs in my shithole area of this communist state i live in are thugs.  Period.  Answer my question that I posed in my previous statement:  do you feel safe or nervous when you spot a pig in your rearview mirror?  If you are honest and not an apologist for whatever cop is in your family, you know damn fucking well that the answer is you get nervous instantly.  If you still believe pigs are here to help you, watch that footage from the Boston bombing of the thugs going house to house tasering and kicking in the doors of innocent homeowners who simply asked that their rights be respected and demanded to see a search warrant before letting them in.  Those motherfuckers violated those peoples fundamental rights and people like you still will apologize for the pigs and say that somehow the homeowner who did nothing at all wrong was at fault.  Congratulations, you are a sheep.  Wake up.

If you actually lived in a communist state, your fingers would have been broken due to numerous infractions that have incurred. And you wouldn't have been able to type this...

The cops enforce the laws, the legislature passes them...which means the more laws, more cops must enforce...then take into account that in many areas they try and push the new recruits out with minimal training....and that standards have been lowered, so you have people getting in who just want to "enforce" and have a chip on their shoulder.
Then take in account that you have people who believe that they can say anything to cops---wishing their family dead, talking about effing their wives, daughters, or killing their kids...and then when they get put on their ass, then they claim police brutality.

Now, I am not saying that there is no such thing, but you got to look at the flip side of things.

A police officer from Washington Township in Toledo, Ohio is on paid leave after what started as a "routine" traffic stop took an incredibly nasty turn.

The cop in question had reportedly just pulled over a man's daughter-in-law for a license plate violation ... and then somehow things got ugly, with the family - including a 14-year-old boy - being thrown on the ground while the officer pointed a gun at their heads.

"Aaron Tatkowski said the officer, Eric Hart, was speaking to Meyers in a way that upset him, so Tatkowski got out of his truck and questioned the officer's actions. Hart told him to get back in his car and Tatkowski said he obliged but what happened next shocked the neighborhood.

"Next thing you know, I'm yanked out of the truck and it made my girlfriend say a few things. He yanked her out of the truck." Tatkowski told WTOL 11.

He, along with his girlfriend, daughter-in-law, and 14-year-old son say they were pulled out of the truck and thrown to the ground by Officer Hart. His two granddaughters remained in the truck and were not involved.

That's when a concerned neighbor fired up a camera and captured the rest of the events on camera. At one point, Hart was pointing a Taser and a hand at the family, pointing them directly at Tatkowski's head as he lay on the road next to his son.

Tatkowski says he followed all of the officer's directions but was arrested.

   Hart was treated at the scene for scratches. The police department stands by Hart's actions, saying the family was not listening to the officer's commands."

funny story... i'm leavin the gym one night at about 10mins after midnight (with a package ready to be delivered in my passenger).

as i'm starting to pull my car out of the parking space, I see a cop wayyyy across the lot at a "big box store" running to his/her car (which had the door open)... i'm thinking, 'huh.. that's odd.. i'm gonna turn around, and head back to the gym"... so I do and the thought of tossing the package out the drivers window when making a right hand U-turn in the lot crosses my mind.. but I don't...

then I hear tires peeling out and hear the motor of the car behind me and the cop is right on my ass and lights me up....

i'm thinking "oh shit... i'm going to prison... I got set up"

so I park by the gym and the cop parks at about a 30deg angle behind me about 2 car lengths... and i'm watching HER... circle around with her FUCKING GUN OUT AND POINTED AT ME!

I show my hands and ask "what the fuck is going on?!"

the skittish bitch (must've been a new cop... long blond pony tail) keeps her gun on me and asks where i'm coming from.. so I tell her I just closed the gym.

"what gym?"

I forgot to set the alarm to I turned back to go set it.

I'm no psychologist but... I had a very good principal in school. Didn't matter because anytime they were around, or I was in their office, I was nervous. They were an authority figure and I associated them with authority and discipline. Didn't matter all the good things they did, when I was out of line they were the person who pulled me back in line. So when someone sees a cop in their rearview mirror naturally they are nervous because most people have gotten traffic tickets and the association is clear. I don't think this is a good metric for your argument

PHILADELPHIA - October 23, 2013 (WPVI) --  Two Philadelphia police officers are facing federal charges related to an incident where a woman was allegedly forced to strip naked while one of the accused officers pleasured himself.

Former Police Officer Joseph Harvey and Officer Sean Cahill, both of Philadelphia, were arrested on Wednesday.

According to the indictment, On October 8, 2009 Harvey used his power as a police officer to order the victim to remove all of her clothing and sit naked while he pleasured himself.

The indictment goes on to claim that when questioned about the incident, Officer Cahill falsely claimed to have been with Harvey at the time, telling FBI investigators that Harvey was never alone with the woman in an alleged attempt to discredit the victim.

Harvey, 39, is charged with deprivation of civil rights under color of law. If convicted, he faces a maximum term of one year in prison, a $100,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.

Officer Cahill, 34, is charged with making a material false statement. If convicted, Cahill faces a maximum term of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine, up to three years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.

Cahill, a 10-year veteran assigned to the 24th District, has been suspended for thirty days with the intent to dismiss.

Harvey was a 7-year veteran, previously assigned to the 24th District.
