went 4 vacation and loved it.

..life is too short to not live in a beautiful place.

first you'd have to learn how to get a job and keep it... and learn how to be financially responsible.

$20 says you'll get your ass handed to you twice by some local for running your mouth in the first month you're there.

$50 says you'll be smoking meth within 3 months... lonely and begging your dad to wire you more money.

Who paid for the vacation?

You don't even have a job or car. Your racist jokes wont fly in Oahu. You won't last long at all.

Best damn mixed chicks ever. I would move there if I had the money. Cost of living there makes LA look cheap.

I agree that island living is expensive. Decent housing on Oahu is very expensive as would I imagine it being on Maui. The big Island is somewhat less expensive, so I've heard.
We rent a nice apartment for $4500 per month in Honolulu. We lived on Maui for two years and had a nice house upcountry for only $2200 for a year and a nice house in South Maui for $3300.

Maui is the place to live if you are a white couple with no kids and have money. They all live in gated communities.

Life is slow because of the sea, the sun, the heat, it's cool but sometimes, especially for a sharp white mind, it's getting boring and annoying pretty fast to deal with lazy wankers.

My friend bitches about the pace, too. On the mainland he could get his oil changed in 20 minutes. In HI, plan on leaving your car at the shop for the day. Everyday chores like grocery shopping just seem to take longer.

Also, Hawaii is a very "clique-ish" culture. People tend to stick together and every one is scratching everyone's back. Meaning that it helps if you know people, which is easy if you were born and raised there, but if you don't, things are much harder. Just things like getting a contractor, buying a car; even buying or renting a house or apartment... if you don't know somebody then you're going to get reamed.

Ive been to Hawaii three times and I loved it.  It would be the perfect place to live except for the Hawaiians themselves.  Ghetto culture and attitudes have infested their mentality.  Not all of them but the young for sure.

My thoughts exactly. Locals aren't exactly over-friendly, especially to white people. They're kinda like Mexicans with surfboards.

Half the population is on disability, Workmen's Compensation, or some other form of welfare. They are the "entitled".
Get a big gulp for one hand and a joint for the other and you will fit right in!

I'll take Dana Point or Laguna Beach, Cali, any day.

Hawaiians really resent being part of the US, that's the impression I got. How did we acquire the islands anyway? Do they have cause to be upset?

hell, give me Coronado Island... shit, even Solana beach, over anywhere in HI.

If I was gonna live on an island, it sure wouldn't be a US territory.

They are still upset about their royal family getting the shaft.

Pretty sad story actually the king gave the merchants too much say and they knifed him.

and this could be said of any island, i lived in martinique in the caribeean for 4 years when i was a child. Islands are often populated by racist "natives" who duplicitely  both hate and love the white man who built everything after they came, there is often high unemployment among natives and the whiteys have the best places and rule the whole thing, and colored natives are often cosntantly frustrated of being reminded they re inferior. Some try to flee their condition by mixing with the whiteys tho. Life is slow because of the sea, the sun, the heat, it's cool but sometimes, especially for a sharp white mind, it's getting boring and annoying pretty fast to deal with lazy wankers. And again, every place on earth is worth living at ...if you re rich, from the top of the middle class or from the highest social classes.

What's your user name on stormfront? :D

My daughter and her husband lived on Oahu for five years. The loved it and would move back in a flash. What someone posted about knowing a native Islander makes fitting in better is probably true. They made friends with a native. He opened a lot of doors for them.

We have all been thinking about buying some property there together and possibly moving there in the near future. Not sure if it will work out, but I am open to the possibility. I love Hawaii.

Seems too close to L.A. I grew up in that part of the world and it isn't what I remember it to be.
