However there are no theaters, no department stores, very little commercial and almost no industrial.

That might take some getting used to, but you got cable or satellite or whatever for your movies, and you can order anything from a department store online. Is there a grocery store nearby?

The nearest movie theaters are only 6 or 7 miles away. We are halfway between two major malls also about 7 miles away. Downtown Portland is about 10 miles from here.

There is a Safeway, Albertson's, Market of Choice and recently a WalMart neighborhood grocery store (not the big box type store).

It's all close enough. Must be nice not having to deal with crime/gangs/graffiti, and traffic, and all the other crap that comes with a big city.

Sometimes I think about moving. Our home is much larger than what we need. Then when I consider all aspects, I realize we live in a great neighborhood. Chances are, we are here to stay at this point.

True but should have said more rapidly and "apparent" ;D

As in when minorities outnumber whites in general like CA and HI

Actually, I think mixing up the races has a lot of advantages. On the other hand, if everyone does this then there will only be one race someday....the human race. I guess that isn't all bad, huh?

My kids are English and French my family; Irish and Scottish my wife's family. They seem like pretty solid stock. My daughter added in Italian and my son brought German to the mix. If their are any ancient "Hebrews" in the mix, we are not aware of it. Sorry Wiggs there is not a kinky haired one among us.

It doesn't work like that. Colorist comes into effect. Look at Brazil, that is what America will be like...
The mixed---mulattos will be the intermediate/standard, whereas the darker black folk will be considered less than, but with an American twist---they will become more "real", authentic, "the black experience". And the white folk at the top, representing beauty.

yea, but brazil is white Europeans and black Africans with indigenous mixed in towards the west.

American is a lot more diverse... not just old descendants of slaves and black immigrants.... we have south American, Polynesian, Asian, arab, jews, ect... bigger the gene pool, healthier the babys.

Well, not really. The ploys are a small minority...and they tend to carry the fatty genetics, as do the Latinos of Ameridian descent---Which is population with more Indians in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Peru, Chile.
You also have to account that Americans are massively dysfunctional, addicts, single parents, entitled eff ups.
This doesn't bode well for healthiness, especially mental and spiritual health.
The women with best looking bodies---are black and white. White women have shape, boobs, and child bearing hips. Black women (West African-South African) have that hour glass shape, half moon bubble butts, boobs...
Those are the two go to women.

So where does this leave me? I am French and English with a little Cherokee Indian mixed in supposedly somewhere a lot of generations ago. I tan easily. I have olive skin and blond hair (well these days of old it is actually white).

Personally, I believe the future is upon us. The more exotic and yet white identified features one has the more aesthetically appealing they appear to the bulk of the world population. Understanding that there are those who seek too appear more Caucasian and those Caucasians who desire to appear more exotic in order to set themselves apart from the norm. I am particularly Caucasian in every respect. This is not very exciting or exotic, but it is what it is.

It leaves you as you always have perceived to be.
Just as me or others of mixed racial heritage...
