thats fucked up, talked about an exaggerated response. These cops would be facing criminal charges in the US probably pulling off that kinda shit.

Are you idiot or something? Please explain why police shouldn't shoot armed criminals, which are potential danger to arresting police officer, and the bystanders? Why do you think these robbers have guns? Just for scratching their ass? Guns are always for violence, and if you wave one around while police arrive, he have a right to shoot you.

There are a lot of videos like this. Brazil seems like a real shithole.

As soon as the little dot appears right below the neck on the guy in white shirt, he goes down half paralyzed, like an insect that can no longer move properly after you smash them.

To be honest, I wouldn't call this a robbery that went wrong. It went perfectly.

That's pretty awesome. I'm also not offended by the cop taking the shot, you never know when those types of robberies will go wrong, best to take the clear shot when it's offered.

Who cares, what difference does it make?   ???
On the DVD of City of God, the head of the Rio's police dept gave an interview and (I believe that is who it was) talked about the rows  and rows of guns confiscated from criminals (it looked like the gun scene in The Matrix). The guns came from America. He stated that the US can go into another country when it wants to stop the flow of drugs, but can he go into the US to stop the flow of guns? No he cannot.

Also, Gracie has commented a number of times about our "gun culture"...who knows, maybe that gun came from the US, and had it not...things would have played out differently.

My wife went down to Brazil when she was 18 years old on vacation with her older sister. She talks about how the whole place is crime ridden and they all know you are a tourist.

They went down to the beach that was right by the hotel. They told her when they go down to the beach they will see two security guys with machine guns on either side on the beach by the hotel. They told her do not go past them for your safety. On the beach she said creepy grown men would strip completely naked changing into their swimming suits. They cut their trip early and to this day she says she will never go back there.

You're kidding me right? The cops would get medals and cleared in every state in the US. You pull a gun on someone you are legally okay to shoot everywhere.

FYI, Brazil ain't no travel destination for a bunch of single women.  This is the 10th time I heard this story.  There are plenty of safe Caribbean locations with nice beaches and less murderers and thieves.

It's armed robbery. Forced used was equal to force that would have been potentially used.
Glad innocent bystanders are OK.

If the same situation happened over here in Ireland:
Unarmed cops see robbery in progress, approach the situation but get shot at so are forced to withdraw. Some lowlife junkie informs on the lads that done it a few weeks later in exchange for not going to jail for robbing some old lady to fund his habit. The 2 lads end up in court but get suspended sentences because they came from "difficult family circumstances" and they "needed" the money because they live in poverty (full dole and all benefits wasnt enough to support there drug habit), they go out and rob more people, eventually caught again and this time the judge says he is "forced" to send them to prison....2 lads live in relative luxury with TV, books, gym, education, a small alowance without working, freely associate with other criminals and build up there network, get released early after barely serving any time for "good behaviour" (managed not to stick a shank im someones neck for all of a year). 2 lads get out and the cycle continues.
