There's a Ruf tuning here in dallas, the only one in the US :)

Damn good video.  I habe always liked the late 60s japanese sportscars. They are quite high in price if yoj fi d one here in sweden

Love the 944s...love the shape

my first race cars in SCCA were 944's, 924's and 928's before moving to 911's... actually set the course record in a 924 even while drifting the majority of the track..... wayyyy back in 97 before 'drifting' was cool.

everybody loves the s13/s14 for drifting... and I've had both, and they're balanced well and with an RB motor, they have more than enough power, but i'll always love the balance of the 922/924's.

always love the Datsun 510 and 240's as well.... esp a 13b powered 510.

Speaking of 944s and Datsuns...The first car advice I gave was when I was about 5 or 6 and my aunt had asked me whether she should get the 1983 Porsche 944 or the 1983 Datus 280ZX. She had said that the rear seats in the 280ZX were bigger than in the 944 (this would be where I would be sitting), so I told her the 280ZX. 30 years later that Z is still running and no major issues. Had it been the Porsche, chances are she may not have kept it as long, due to maintenance and or reliability.

well, you could've put 16 batteries, an electric motor, and a controller for the 944 and it'd still be running..... which is how I got onto the R&D team for GM with the EV1 (I/we, our team, turned down an offer from Toyota... who at the time pitched us the idea that they would have 100% of their cars be either electric or hybrid by 2015... many of us also had Supras and thought they were absolutely full of shit and there's no way Toyota would be the forerunner in hybrids..... so we went with GM's offer....... it was a choice that will haunt me forever. lol)

I LOVED the EV1, I had articles on it from the Smithsonian to R&T...it was a harbinger of what was to come...like the Prius and GM's Volt...although the Volt is not as much as a "flop" as the EV1.
Just imagine what could have been had GM/Ford/Chrysler really pushed the EV tech...

She's got a few mods thus far, but my fave is definitely the Nardi Deep Corn steering wheel that I installed right after taking delivery of it.

the GM guys were hard to work with. we had a senior crew member on our team who was a Nuclear Physicist with Lockheed Martin (who got me a $35k/yr 2yr paid internship, which I turned down... another choice that will haunt me forever), who worked with us on our electric race vehicles (porsches and audi's), who got so angry with GM that he fucking QUIT..... then later found out he'd went on to work with Tesla (even saw him on a couple shows on the discovery channel a couple years later).....

going with GM over Toyota was a huge mistake.

This guy owns both and says the Kenmeries feels more like a complete car as opposed to the Hakosukas which feels more like a race car.

yes, Petrolicious is a good site...their videos are well done. The Hakosukas seem to be more purposeful, whereas the kenmeries seem to be more production ready, like an e36 M3 (being the Kenmeri, and an e30 M3 being a Hakosuka).

cool car. My friend had one that had like 480 hp it was crazy. Nothing first but when it came over 6krpm hell broke loose lol
