Alcohol on weekends

I want to cut back on my alcohol intake, it is causing me to gain more weight each week. I drink about almost two bottles on the weekend and now you know why I'm gaining weight even though I train. What is the best method? Quit cold turkey or tone it down to one beer with a Mexican meal?

One day it's a bottle of whiskey, the next it's tequila. Should I lay off the liquor and only have two bottles of beer?

Your liver is begging you to cut back. That's a lot of booze in a short period of time.

"Two fingers" or a double is more than enough in a 24 hour period. Cutting back takes much willpower. It might be easier to just give up drinking alcohol altogether.

I just don't get drinking post high school/college.  I had my fill by the time I was 19.  That's just me.  Whatever does it for you.

nothing special IMO... good bottle, good marketing, pours badly (lip of the bottle is thick) and is somewhat tasteless

I was 22 the first and last time I got "smashed." Moderation has been the word of the day ever since.

I do enjoy the occasional drink dependent on the time of year and setting. I find something relaxing and almost therapeutically rewarding about responsible drinking. I hate and avoid drinking to the point that I become tired, or an annoying prick.

Except vodka has no flavor to speak of. It is rare someone orders a vodka neat. Scotch neat maybe, but not vodka neat.
