Dhea as hcg alternative.
« on: January 02, 2006, 04:32:49 AM »
Hi guys, was wandering if Dhea would be of any use throughout my cycle instead of hcg. I know it increases natural test but not sure to what degree?. Thinking about it I better point out that I carnt get any hcg so its more of a beta than nothing sort of thing. Anyone ever used it?. Dosages?. Thanks.

hcg is not taken to "increase your natural test" during a cycle.  Trust me, you're not producing any of THAT on cycle--hcg is meant to act like LH in preventing death of testicular cells.

And by the way...hcg is VERY easy to come by...

Thanks for the reply, think I need to rephrase the question. I understand what Hcg is used for but I was wondering that if Dhea does effect test levels whether it can do anything during a cycle to help with natural shutdown. Thanks again.

I don't think so.  You simply overwhelm the system when exogenous test is introduced.

The only thing that would help with the shutdown associated from exogenous test administration would be not to take the exogenous test.

As the freak said HCG is what you need to get back up and running fast.

DHEA is more likely to convert to estrogen and other female hormones as opposed to Testosterone. I would use 7-oxo-DHEA because it doesn't convert into any active metabolites of the major hormones. 7-OXO is rumored to reduce cortisol which is a catabolic hormone, and is rampant post cycle.  It may be benefial to some degree to use DHEA post cycle..However, there aren't many studies to confirm these theories..

^Exactly.

No clinical evidence.
