I can tell you from personal experience that dealing with the federal gov't surrounding criminal activity is not a joke.  I had to testify in front of a federal grand jury over a year ago now -- nothing related to BB or anything -- and it was no fun at all.  When they have the goods on someone and need your "help" you are not in a position not to -- trust me. 

It was one of the hardests situations I have ever dealt with -- and glad that it is over.
