Id grab the xboxone if I had I had to choose one but for now I'll just stick to my PC for gaming as in my opinion it destroys both systems.

Why would you guys choose the xbox one over the ps4 when the ps4 is more powerful the games looks better on the ps4 and its 100 dollars cheaper, and next year you will be able to play ps3 games on the ps4 they will offer the games streaming from the clouds. also battlefield 4 and call of duty ghosts are 720p on the xbox one and 1080p on the ps4

I've pre-ordered a PS4, but it doesn't have DLNA server support.  I currently have 11TB of server streaming all manner of content to the PS3, I don't understand why they aren't offering DLNA support for the PS4, without it it really is just a games machine opposed to a multi-function home entertainment system.

Sounds like an easy firmware update in the future.

I hope so.  I am only really buying the ps4 because I can, I still use my PS3 all the time as a media player.  The only game I play is Borderlands 2, which I still play all the time. I literally have hundreds of games I never play, some I have brought and never opened.

Because you like the exclusives on XBox better
Because XBox online services have been better than PS (already crashed)
Because the the 720/1080 CoD doesn't make a difference, and Xbox gets the DLC earlier than Sony on both.
Because of the seamless cable box integration
HBO Go....

There's tons of reasons.  It's all subjective - pick a console and enjoy it.

I'm exactly the same way.  I use my ps3 to stream off my computer hard drives.  I'm not a huge gamer but I have a few games series I enjoy playing.   I'm sure with enough pressure sony will move quickly on the DNLA support.

I'll stick to my PC with its superior CPU and just upgrade the memory and graphics cards as and when needed. Download all the games I want via torrent.

Over the years it's still more cost-effective than shelling out for a next-gen console plus extortionately-priced games.

I can't see why they would.  They already canned it once.  Plus, they want you to buy movies from them, no?

I honestly think it's done.   I don't think there will be a groundswell movement for it like there was with the MS license stuff, and the company will be looking to get maximum $$ anyway.

Truthfully, that's not a bad bet right now.   Early launch title reviews have been meh.  I feel the same way about my pre order Xbox One - probably could have waited on that too.....

You guys fail to realize that the PS3 is more powerful and able to handle better games but they decided to rebrand it , adding even more power and selling it as the PS4.  I doubt most game developers even took advantage of 50% of the PS3's power.

Who is failing to realize the specs?  PS3 had the same argument, outside of texture RAM, I believe....

A lot of the guys wanting the PS4 for its superior power but not realizing that the PS3 is powerful enough.  It is a total beast as it is but Microsoft and Sony had no choice to release a new platform because if one did it and the other didn't it would put the other way behind the race.  The PS3 was designed way ahead of it's time and designed for years and years into the future.

Gotcha - didn't understand the context.

Sony got 7 years out of the console, so regardless of capability, they had to upgrade as you stated.

It's exactly what I did last time.   I'm a huge fallout fan and I can wait until fallout 4 comes out before I purchase a new system.
