Daycare?! Man, if you only knew that many of these people who open up "daycare" are the last people that you want to entrust your children to.

There was an exposé on day care centres in Ireland on television a few months ago. Lots of hidden camera footage, the children were treated horribly, most of them toddlers that couldnt grasp the instructions they were given (shouted at) , physically rough with them, strapping them in one place for hours, cursing and swearing at them etc.... I have no intention of putting my child in one when the time comes.

As soon as the parents leave the "caretakers" can do what they want. Never trusted any of them. Nowadays people put their kids at such young age in centers it's sad. What's the point of having kids if it's to leave them to strangers after 1 or two years only spent with them. People have kids but dont love them. Some prefer to work 40 hours a week instead. No wonder we produce more and more mass killers.

Yea, that sounds reasonable, lol. All you have to do is do your homework. Ask schools for daycare referrals. Ask neighbors and friends. Once you have names then you ask the daycare for parents of current and past children to talk with regarding the care. My wife ran an in-home one for over 14 years. She treated those kids better than the parents. I had to chase down mothers and fathers in bars to pickup their kids. Well I would drive them and the kids home. We had to turn in parents for sexual and physical abuse. We live in a nice area so this isn't just happening in the inner city.
All I am saying is the majority of daycares do a good job. Just do your homework. Check them, and recheck them.

This just saddens and sickens me.  My daughter is this age and it could've been her.  The evil of people I'll never understand.  To lose a child like this I can't imagine the grief....the loss.  I'm impressed with the family's display of faith and love.
