Great if you can get beyond the stigma attached to it.

I know nothing about it, but when I learned how they really made a living, and the age at which they made it, it brought Degas' stuff into focus.  :-X  

Tbh it's one of those things I always meant to investigate but never have.  Seems like a perfectly valid expression of the body in motion.

Edit: The dancing, I mean.  Not the underage prostitution.

if you're lucky, the girl will only do ballet for a few years before being on-point jacks up her toes. I've dated 5 ex-ballet girls in the past few years, and not one had jacked toes.... if they did, I wouldn't have dated them. lol. dealbreaker.

See, this was back in the day when they tried to make the whole thing aesthetic and artistic. It wasn't just a bald, swollen gutted , syntholed loser looking like an awkward stripper in a g-string doing 'give me props'...'I can't hear you' gestures to the crowd as the obligatory rap track plays.
