Well you're just an idiot for living in the USA. You should have gotten out while you could.
You could have moved to Canada the UK, where you would've been guaranteed health care coverage.  ;D

Guaranteed crappy health care, for the small price of half of your income.  No wonder so many Canadians move to the greatest country on planet earth.

Oh the incredible irony...  I'm trying hard not to bust a gut at the irony of that post. I'm about to pee. ROTFLMAO!

I would agree if there was any kind of truth in what you post instead of some lame attempt to lead the dialog towards your business.

Not true.

Does health care cost half their income?

Health care isn't perfect there.  Neither is it here.

But what they do have there is NO outrageous health care costs to be the burden of lower or middle class families.  No uninsured and NO ACA.

And from actual first hand sources, most are happy of it.

Then lets take our system:

Over priced care

Over compensated to insure from malpractice

Over politicized

Over priced drugs

And then this ACA which is just going to make it all cost more.

at least he can still get insurance

I'm sure the the tens of thousands who died needlessly in Iraq and the many more who were maimed and disfigured wish they could trade problems with him

I've heard from multiple Canadians that the their government takes 50 percent or more of income over $100k (and possible less).  That doesn't mean healthcare per se costs 50 percent of their income.  The taxes are used to pay for the healthcare system and all the other "free" stuff they get.

What percentage of their population earns over 100k?

Let says it's 10%...

So 90% pay what....  20-30%?  I truely don't know.

And what percentage of that is responsible for free health care?

...Health care that works, not perfect, but works.

That all seems far and away from these claims:

Fuck you. It's funny watching the totalitarians expose themselves. So much for Dems and their claims that they actually give a shit about people.

I don't know what percentage makes over six figures, but it's likely that those folks shoulder the bulk of the tax burden, just like in the U.S.

I doubt their overall tax burden is segregated at the time the money is taken.  Money likely goes into a general fund and then it gets divided up.  So if the tax burden is 50 percent, and part of that 50 percent is used to pay for "free" healthcare, then yes I believe half their income is used to pay for socialized medicine.

But I'm not going to try and act like an authority on anything related to Canada.  Don't know enough about their system.  Just relying on what several Canadians have told me.

It doesn't  look like the tax burden is 50% according to the link.  It also shows 26% for next group under 135k.

And yet we have these misconceptions thinking its 50% and it's garbage health care.

Our system has led us to overpriced healthcare, over priced drugs.

And with ACA it just got worse.

So while we spend time watching our 2 parties point fingers at each other, it looks like Canadians pay less for drugs and care while we f-Ed over.

I don't know how accurate the link is or how to calculate Canadian taxes.

Not sure they pay less for drugs and care when you factor in the respective tax burdens.

They pay about 13% extra peach purchase.   A few years ago I think I remember seeing some comparisons of drugs and it was significant.

The link looks like their official tax collection agency web site.

Also, if I remember it right, in 2006 or soething there was big deal about Permitting Canadian generics to be sold here.  It wasn't passed.

The prescription drugs might be cheaper, but if the price is cheaper because the government is taking that money through taxes, then it's really not a savings.

Plus how much cheaper could it be if we're talking about copays for prescription drugs?  A few bucks?  The bigger expenses would seem to be medical procedures not covered by insurance.

If?   Do you know they are because of that or are you assuming?

I'm not assuming they have a socialized healthcare system, which requires them to heavily tax their citizens, but I am assuming that amount is 50 percent or more for those making over about $100k.
