i have never tried sushi in my life, is it the kind of food you will enjoy at once or do you need to learn how to like it? never been much of a fish man
I find that "western sushi" and Japanese sushi is totally different.
I really don't get all the rave when it comes to the former and the latter is most likely an acquired taste. I've tried a lot of different types of sushi in Japan and most were totally disgusting (for me).
I once visited some special sushi place (had to wait in line for 45 min or something...) near the fish market in Tokyo and tried, among other types, sushi made of the most fatty part of the tuna. Supposedly this is the shit but I almost threw up in the restaurant.
Other than sushi I really love Japanese food.
