Bodybuilding: Sig Sauer M400 designed for a King.
« on: November 10, 2013, 05:22:53 PM »
Picked up the SIG M400 yesterday. Really wanted a gas operated AR upper so seemed like a decent deal for under 1k. Came with a Magpull Mbus, which doesn't have any vertical adjustments. Can hit shit at 100 yards unless I drop the front iron sight until it's out of scope literally. Planning on putting a Hawk red dot on tomorrow, wondering if there's a high scope mount you would recommend. Thanks Chief.

Nice rig. I run EOTechs on all of mine, except for the SPR.

Wouldn't you want to co-witness the red dot and the iron sights?

One hundred yards? Hell, we had to be accurate with our m16s out to the 500 yard line for qualifications. (Prone position)

Step up your game son.

I think it make sense. Had my eye on the 552 for a while now, just wanna make sure the front sight won't shadow too much.

Thanks for the tip!

You won't be sorry with the 552. I co-witness them all with a Troy BUIS. I have had optics fall off at the stupidest times, and having that BUIS ready to go is real nice.

I qualified Expert by USMC standards with an M16 and M14 while stationed in Iceland.  I was one if the few hillbillies who could actually shoot a little so I always got grabbed up by the Marines to go to the range.  Night shooting was a blast.

Love the M14. I have been slowly accumulating parts for an eventual build for like 5 years. So many guns to build, so little time...

I qualified Expert by USMC standards for dry anal cross functional interactions while stationed in Iceland.  I was one of the few hillbillies who could actually lollipop dicks little so I always got grabbed up by the Marines to go to the fun place.  Night gang raping was a blast.

Edited for accuracy. No pun  ;D

Sorry couldn't resist. Glad to hear. I think you have it or you don't when it comes to accuracy. Instinct kinda kicks in.

that sight works perfect with the A2 gas post you have it needs no vertical adjustment , if you have issues at 100 then its user issues ..... the SIG make a great AR but I'm not one to jump on the piston driven band wagon unless you have the whole rifle set up for it and set up for the specific round ...... I can build a mix matches rifle for half the price and would perform just as well...... if you want a piston driven HARDASS rifle look for a POF not "plenty of fish"

And that's a gen 2 sight so its the one you want "for backup" if you want a real nice rear sight look for Troy industries , mid west industries and I believe larue tactical make a real nice one as well
